​On the afternoon of October 17, 2024, at the headquarter of Consulate General of Thailand in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association of Dong Nai province had a working session with the Consulate General on friendship exchange and connection activities between members of the Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association of Dong Nai province with the Consulate General and Thai people working in Dong Nai.

Attending the working session were Ms. Wiraka Moodhitaporn - Consul General of Thailand in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Nguyen Van Thang - Chairman of the Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association of Dong Nai province and leaders and officials of 02 agencies.

Speaking at the working session, Chairman of the Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association Nguyen Van Thang extended his sincere thanks to Ms. Wiraka Moodhitaporn, Consul General of Thailand in Ho Chi Minh City for enthusiastically welcoming and spending time working with the Association. At the same time, he expressed his desire to receive the Consulate General of Thailand's interest in supporting the Association's activities in the fourth quarter of 2024. Accordingly, the Association will organize a people-to-people exchange program between Vietnam and Thailand with many various special activities such as the exhibition of product booths made in Vietnam and Thailand; Vietnamese - Thai art exchange; Workshop on making Thai Karathong lanterns and Vietnamese - Thai culinary exchange.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thang also shared that the purpose of the activities is to strengthen people-to-people exchange relations, cultural exchanges, and promote friendlship and cooperative relationships between Dong Nai People and the Consul General and partners who are Thai enterprises and promote the relationship of solidarity, friendship and cooperation between the people of the two countries. These activities help introduce members and people from all walks of life about the country, people, culture and achievements in building the country of the Thai people as well as the special traditional close relationship between the people of Vietnam and the people of Thailand.

At the working session, Ms. Wiraka Moodhitaporn - Consul General of Thailand in Ho Chi Minh City, expressed her pleasure to welcome and work with the Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association of Dong Nai province. Ms. Wiraka Moodhitaporn highly appreciated the Association's people-to-people exchange activities in recent times, and affirmed that she will continue to support the Association's activities in the coming time and organize a people-to-people exchange program between Vietnam and Thailand in the fourth quarter of 2024.

The two sides have agreed on coordination contents and are expected to organize a people-to-people exchange program between Vietnam and Thailand on November 14, 2024.
