​On October 9^th, 2024, Dong Nai province Union of Friendship Organizations (DUFO) organized a periodic meeting with the friendship associations in the 3^rd quarter of 2024. Attending the meeting were leaders of Dong Nai province Union of Friendship Organizations; President and Vice Presidents of 10 friendship associations, including Vietnam - Cambodia, Vietnam - Laos, Vietnam -  Thailand, Vietnam - Korea, Vietnam - Japan, Vietnam - Russia, Vietnam - France, Vietnam - China, Vietnam - United States and Vietnam - ASEAN.

According to the report, in the first 9 months of 2024, friendship associations have proactively built and implemented in-depth programs and activity plans such as successfully organizing Congresses, exchange activities on people – to – people diplomacy with Consulates General of countries in Ho Chi Minh City and FDI enterprises investing in Dong Nai. The activities of the associations have shown flexibility, creativity and high efficiency. The total number of members of the associations is about 10,646 members.

At the meeting, delegates also focused on contributing ideas related to solutions to diversify forms of organizing people - to - people diplomacy activities, developing branches and memberships of friendship associations, connecting and organizing activities between friendship associations...

According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tri, President of Dong Nai province Union of Friendship Organizations, in the remaining 3 months of 2024, DUFO and its member friendship associations will focus on the contents and documents of the 3^rd Congress of Dong Nai province Union of Friendship Organizations. In addition, DUFO will coordinate with friendship associations to organize more than 10 people - to – people events and cultural exchange activities with countries on the occasion of the anniversary of major holidays and diplomatic relations between Vietnam and countries such as: Vietnam - United States friendship exchange program, Vietnam - Russia friendship exchange program; Vietnam - Thailand people - to - people exchange program; Vietnam - Japan friendship exchange program; ASEAN cultural festival; talks on people - to - people diplomacy and education opportunities in France ...
