Our beloved President Ho Chi Minh
passed away 55 years ago. His Testament is a priceless historical document, featuring
his wholehearted instructions and all aspirations of his life. It is the
quintessence of the nation and the humankind, and also the quintessence of the
lofty ideology, morality, style and soul of a great man, a national liberation
hero, a world cultural celebrity.
Humanitarianism, humanism and
philosophy of life are reflected in his testament, taking practice as the
starting point, taking liberation and human development as the goal. It is a
philosophy of action, ethics of being human, ethics of work. He wrote in his
testament that the first thing he wanted to mention was care for humans. He
advised that all work is aimed at serving people, helping people develop
comprehensively, sothat people can master themselves, have freedom, and have a
prosperous and happy life. According to President Ho Chi Minh, it is a work
that must be done, no matter how difficult and complicated it is, we must try
our best to do it.

In his testament, the President
stressed the importance of implementing a special policy for people who
sacrificed for the Fatherland. He told the Party to continue the tradition of
national heroes of mentioning things that needed to be done after the war –
showing gratitude and caring for revolutionary contributors. For the wounded
soldiers, sick soldiers, we must by all means take care of and create favorable
conditions, provide a safe place to live, open appropriate vocational training
classes sothat they have the necessary tools in life. For the martyrs, each
locality needs to build flower gardens and memorial stele to pay tribute their
heroic sacrifices, to educate the spirit of patriotism for current and future
generations. When families and relatives of war invalids and martyrs encounter
difficulties, local authorities must support and help them overcome such
circumstances. For farmers, he proposed to exempt agricultural taxes for one
year, so that the people could be more excited and boost production after many years they have continuously tried to contribute the labor force, the
wealth, and endure hardships for the cause of fighting for national liberation,
gaining independence and freedom for the Fatherland...
The profound philosophy of life,
imbued with humanism is reflected in the sacred testament, with the unswerving
desire to "build Vietnam into a
peaceful, united, independent, democratic, and prosperous country, making
worthy contribution to international revolution". He proposed a
thoughtful, comprehensive social policy towards people. He not only cared about
people's lives but above all took care of educating and training them, making
them the core force to successfully build the socialism in our country. He
asked us to amend the educational regime to suit the new circumstances,
especially taking care of revolutionary moral education, patriotism for union
members and young people, and training them to become the next generation to
build a socialist society that is both "moral" and
"professional".

His philosophy of life is a
combination of noble humanitarianism and profound humanistic thought. The
source of humanitarianism and humanity is the compassionate tradition of the
Vietnamese people, combined with the compassionate tradition of humanity. The
core content of humanitarianism and humanistic ideology is love and respect for
people, associated with passionate patriotism. The noble goal of
humanitarianism and humanity is national liberation, social liberation, and
human liberation. The method of implementation of that humanism is action,
practical revolutionary activity.
Born and grown up in a nation that
had a thousand-year tradition of patriotism, a humane culture and a burning
desire for a good life, but suffered the injustice, the oppression and
exploitation of colonialism, Nguyen Ai witnessed the pain of living in a seperated
and dominated country; the humiliation of slavery. He left the homeland to seek
a path for saving the country from colonialism. He decided
to leave the country with a burning determination: “Freedom for my compatriots,
independence for my Fatherland, those are all I want, those are all I
understand.”. He had thrown himself into a 30-year odyssey that was full of
hardships and challenges with the noble goal of seeking a path for the nation
and searching for independence, freedom, and well-being for the people.

With that realistic thought, his
philosophy of life became a philosophy of life in action. People cannot pursue
happiness for themselves by sitting still and waiting for it to be given to
them from somewhere outside, but must take action and conduct practical
activities to gain happiness for themselves and their people. According to him,
humanitarianism and humanistic ideas must be expressed into action, into
practical revolutionary activities according to the philosophy of human action.
Uncle Ho's philosophy is really special
for its love toward humans. Without a philosophy of human action, noble
humanitarianism and profound humanistic thought, he would be impossible to have
such a perspective of contributing one's own self for the sake of humanity. He
believed that the number one goal when the country was still immersed in
slavery was national liberation. When the country was independent, the top goal
and central task was to build socialism. Socialism must first be a society for
people. It is that human philosophy that has instilled in him the belief in the
ultimate victory of building the socialism in our country
With that philosophy of life, before
returning to eternity, the President believed that the next generation would
continue the work of building a new society, the fight against what was old and
damaged (bureaucracy, waste...) to create new and good things. Although it
would meet many challenges but come to success certainly./.
