​2024 is a year of special significance in the formation and development of the Dong Nai Union of Friendship Organizations and its member friendship associations. It is the year of the 3rd Congress of the Dong Nai Union of Friendship Organizations, term 2024 - 2029. From the first months of the year, many events and friendly exchange activities with people of other countries associated with the activities to welcome the 3rd Congress have been vigorously implemented, bearing the strong imprint of friendship of people of other countries in Dong Nai province.

In the first 6 months of the year, the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations and its member friendship associations successfully organized over 20 people - to - people exchange events with other countries, welcoming nearly 20 foreign delegations to work and participate in events with the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations and its member friendship associations. Among those events, the highlight is the proactive connection and coordination with diplomatic agencies of other countries in Ho Chi Minh City to organize activities such as: The first ASEAN photos exchange exhibition in Dong Nai province in 2024; coordinating with the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Ho Chi Minh City and Chinese enterprises to organize a Chinese speaking contest; coordinating with the Consulate General of Laos in Ho Chi Minh City to organize friendly exchanges and talks on the special relationship between Viet Nam and Laos and people - to - people diplomacy; coordinating with associations and FDI enterprises to carry out connection activities, enhancing understanding between people Dong Nai province and people of other countries...

In the first months of the year, cultural exchange activities and people - to - people exchanges with other countries have been focused on and implemented much earlier than in the previous years, such as: The Contest on study and understandings about people - to - people diplomacy in Dong Nai province in 2024 (the 2nd time) and the Bilingual Media Product Design Contest on the history and culture of the land and people of Dong Nai province in 2024 (the 4th time) were widely launched from the beginning of July 2024 with enthusiastic response and cooperation from coordinating and co-organizing units to increase the organization time and improve the quality of products and works in the contest. In addition, the series of events of the 5th Friendship Melodies Festival in Dong Nai Province held in June 2024 has brought many impressions. After 5 times of organization, this year's Friendship Melodies Festival, the participating friendship associations have invested elaborately in both content and form, surpassing previous years. As a result, 02 excellent singing and dancing performances selected from the 5th Dong Nai Province Friendship Melodies Festival, they have built a competition program of the Dong Nai delegation at the regional exchange playground, the 3rd Friendship Melodies Festival among the Unions of Friendship Organizations of cities and provinces in the Southeast and neighboring regions of the Emulation Cluster No. 4, held in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, which has excellently won the First Prize for the whole delegation and one of the two subsidiary prizes of the Festival. The performance of the Dong Nai delegation was also selected to participate in the Cultural Exchange Festival with the Consulate General of the countries in Ho Chi Minh City.

2024 is also the year of the Congress of 3/10 friendship associations of the province. With careful preparation and investment in content as well as organization, the 2nd Congress, term 2024 - 2029 of the Viet Nam - China Friendship Association, Viet Nam - France Friendship Association, Viet Nam - United States Friendship Association of Dong Nai province took place successfully, completing the target of 100% of friendship associations holding the Congress of the term on time, bringing many new developments in the Association's work. The leadership of friendship associations has been strengthened, gradually enhancing the position of friendship associations in the picture of people - to - people diplomancy in particular, and foreign affairs in general of the province.

By the end of June 2024, friendship associations had developed nearly 11,000 members with 196 affiliated organizations (Associations Branch, Associations Inter-Branch). The network of members and affiliated branches has received special attention from friendship associations in consolidating, perfecting and developing widely in localities, agencies, units and enterprises throughout the province. This has contributed to supplementing resources to participate in exchange activities, promoting the image of the country and locality to people of other countries. The activities of friendship associations are increasingly proactive and practical, attracting the active participation of members, maintaining and developing relationships with foreign partners, especially businessmen and FDI enterprises operating in the province.
