​On September 5, Dong Nai province Union of Friendship Organizations held a signing ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding on people - to - people diplomacy with Dong Nai province Bar Association for the 2024 – 2029 period.

At the Ceremony, there is the attendance of Member of Dong Nai province Party Standing Committee, Head of Dong Nai province Party Committee's Inspection Commission Huynh Thanh Binh; Deputy Head of Dong Nai province Party Committee's Propaganda and Education Commission Pham Tan Linh and Vice Chairman of Dong Nai province Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Tat Do, along with officials and civil servants of the two coordinating agencies.

At the Signing Ceremony, the two sides discussed and agreed to coordinate in the implementation of 6 key contents, including: Widely disseminating Directive No. 38-CT/TW dated September 19, 2019 of the Secretariat and Document No. 8485-CV/TU dated February 17, 2020 of Dong Nai province Standing Party Committee, Plan No. 3935/KH–UBND dated April 8, 2020 of Dong Nai province People's Committee on continuing to innovate, promote the role and improve the quality and effectiveness of the activities of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations in the new situation in accordance with the direction of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee; Deeply propagating the role of people - to - people diplomacy to the entire team of lawyers, especially the content of Circular No. 01-TT/TU, dated April 14, 2022 of Dong Nai province Party Standing Committee and Plan No. 175/KH-UBND, dated August 1, 2022 of Dong Nai province People's Committee on implementing Directive No. 12-CT/TW of the Secretariat on strengthening the leadership of the Party, improving the effectiveness of people - to - people diplomacy in the new situation; coordinating to organize courses on training, guidance and propaganda for cadres and civil servants in Dong Nai province Union of Friendship Organizations and leaders of friendship associations to raise awareness of people - to - people diplomacy and law, especially issues related to international law; participating in regular activities of Dong Nai province Union of Friendship Organizations and member friendship associations in peace and friendship affairs; receptions and working sessions with diplomatic agencies, international organizations and foreign non-governmental organizations; promoting the role of intellectuals and lawyers in propagating the foreign policies and guidelines of the Party and State; introducing the image of the country, people of Vietnam, and Dong Nai province to the world; fighting against false information and viewpoints, and the "peaceful evolution" plot of hostile forces; coordinating and supporting legal advice and legal services according to the needs of domestic and foreign organizations and individuals, overseas Vietnamese, foreign non-governmental organizations, FDI enterprises, trade associations, etc. in accordance with current laws.

At the Ceremony, Mr. Pham Tan Linh - Deputy Head of Dong Nai province Party Committee's Propaganda and Education Commission highly appreciated the fact that the two agencies signed a Memorandum of Understanding on people - to - people diplomacy. At the same time, he wished that the two agencies would promote their roles and responsibilities in implementing MoU, and soon concretize the MoU each year.

The Bar Association needs to focus on propaganda and dissemination to raise awareness among members of the Association about people - to - people; coordinate with Dong Nai province Union of Friendship Organizations to organize exchange activities with delegations and associations of countries in the region and the world; promote the role of the legal sector, proactively study, and actively participate in issues related to international law; support and join Dong Nai province Union of Friendship Organizations in providing legal advice, propagating the Party's policies and the State's laws to partners; actively contributing to the goal of protecting national interests, creating a friendly social foundation with countries and international friends; fighting against false information and viewpoints, the "peaceful evolution" plot of hostile forces, introducing and promoting the image of Dong Nai to international friends.

Dong Nai province Union of Friendship Organizations, in the coming time, needs to continue to focus on propaganda to contribute to raising awareness for cadres and people about people - to - people diplomacy, thereby creating consensus in society, practically serving the cause of building and defending the Fatherland in the new situation; contributing to effectively implementing people - to - people diplomacy according to the policies of Dong Nai province Party Committee and People's Committee.
