​On May 27, at the Conference and Event Center of Dong Nai province, the Union of Friendship Organizations in coordination with the Propaganda and Education Commission under the Party Committee of Dong Nai province organized the Symposium on " The world and regional context and the Party's policy on people - to -  people diplomacy in the new situation".

Attending were Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang, Mr. Ho Thanh Son - Permanent Deputy Secretary of Dong Nai province Party Committee, Mr. Huynh Thanh Binh - Head of the Inspection Commission under the Party Committee of Dong Nai province, and 500 delegates who are leaders of departments, committees, sectors, unions, members of Dong Nai province Steering Committee for External Information Service, Union of Friendship Organizations of provinces and cities of Cluster 4.

Speaking at the Symposium, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Dong Nai province Party Committee Ho Thanh Son emphasized that in Directive No. 12-CT/TW dated January 5, 2022 on strengthening the Party's leadership to improve the effectiveness of people-to-people diplomacy in the new situation, the Secretariat once again affirmed that people-to-people diplomacy is the task of the entire political system, every cadre, party member and people.

Mr. Ho Thanh Son affirmed that this is also a solid theoretical basis for us to concretize its implementation. Therefore, it is absolutely necessary to organize today's Symposium which aims to propandize, update and orient the forces working in foreign affairs, people – to –people diplomacy affairs and the team of reporters on the picture of world and regional context and the Party's policy on people - to -  people diplomacy in the new situation.

Standing Deputy Secretary of Dong Nai province Party Committee said that on April 24, the Provincial Party Standing Committee also issued Document No. 1844-CV/TU to implement Conclusion No. 71-KL/TW dated April 16. February 2024 of the Politburo on a number of major tasks and solutions to implement the foreign policy of the 13th National Party Congress in Dong Nai province.

Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee highly appreciated the initiative and the responsibility of the standing agency of the Steering Committee for External Information Service - the Propaganda and Education Commission under the Party Committee of Dong Nai province and its member – Dong Nai province Union of Friendship Organizations and requested that, in the coming time, members of the Steering Committee for External Information Service; leaders of departments, agencies and sectors and unions; the team working on people-to-people diplomacy and external information service in the province should be proactive in advising, strengthening the understandings and implementation of people-to-people diplomacy affairs in their agencies and working palces; simultaneously, closely coordinate and deploy synchronously and creatively in the content and form of foreign information service and people-to-people diplomacy; focus on propaganda to contribute to raising awareness for officials and people about people – to - people diplomacy; thereby, creating consensus in society, strengthening the great national solidarity, practically serving the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland in the new situation...

At the Symposium, delegates were shared information by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang on two topics including: The world and regional context, its impacts on Vietnam; the Party's policy on people - to - people diplomacy and foreign information service in the new situation.
