On June 11, 2024, Dong Nai province Union of
Friendship Organizations coordinated with Dong Nai General Hospital to receive
a delegation from Korea Food of the Hungry International (KFHI/Korea) and
Hyosung Vietnam Co., Ltd. to visit the patients receiving treatment support at
Dong Nai General Hospital.
At the working session, there are
representatives of Dong Nai province Union of Friendship Organizations; Mr.
Dang Ha Huu Phuoc - Deputy Director of Dong Nai General Hospital, Mr. Le Van
Hanh - Head of Social Work Department of Dong Nai General Hospital. On the
sponsor's side, there are Mr. Baek Soo Yeol - Officer of KFHI, Ms. Cho Min Jung
- Manager of Hyosung Corporation in Korea, Mr. Bae In Han - CEO of Hyosung Dong Nai Co., Ltd., Mr. Lee
Dong Hwan – Head of Operations Department of Hyosung Dong Nai Co., Ltd.
KFHI visited patients before surgery
This is one of 03 seriously ill patients sponsored
after the "Smile
Expedition" Charitable Medical Exam and Treatment Program implemented by KFHI and
Hyosung Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Xuan Dong commune, Cam My district in October
2023. After that, the organization wishes to continue to support the treatment
of seriously ill patients that the organization has information about in the
recent medical examination and treatment program. In
May 2024, after completing the procedures, Dong Nai province People's Committee
issued Decision No. 1478/QD-UBND dated May 20, 2024 on approval of the
non-project "Funding support
for treatment of seriously ill patients" in Xuan Dong commune, Cam My
district, Dong Nai province, sponsored by KFHI and implemented by Hyosung
Vietnam Company Limited, with total budget of 306 million dongs. This project
is truly necessary and timely, contributing to sharing and reducing the burden
of treatment costs on patients' families. Therefore, the purpose of the project
is very consistent with the need for cooperation and mobilization of foreign
non-governmental aid in Dong Nai.
It is known that previously, Korea
Food of the Hungry International (KFHI/Korea) and Hyosung Vietnam Co., Ltd. visited the patient's home, assisted with
hospitalization procedures, and on June 12, 2024, the patient had leg replacement
surgery. According to the registered schedule, the delegation will continue to
visit after the patient has completed surgery and will visit and encourage the
remaining 02 patients in the project in Xuan Dong commune, Cam My district and
discuss options for treatment in the near future.
