​On the morning of December 16, at the Hall of Provincial Youth Union, the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association and the Council of the Ho Chi Minh Children’s Union of the province cooperated to choose the outstanding art works of the painting contest to celebrate the 48^th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam - Japan (September 19, 1973 - September 19, 2021), proceeding to celebrate the 2^nd Congress of Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association of Dong Nai province, term 2021 - 2026, with the theme "Strengthening the friendship between Vietnam and Japan".

The painting contest was launched from November 10, 2021 to December 15, 2021 and has attracted students at levels with more than 1000 paintings. The contest is a creative and useful playground for the Children’s Union’s members and children of the province  to have more opportunities to learn about the country and people of Vietnam and Japan; thereby, contributing to preserving the long – term culture, tradition; connecting the socio-economic development between the two countries and the people of Vietnam and Japan.

Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association (Head of the Organizing Committee) - Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet presented flowers to congratulate the Contest’s Jury.

At the contest, painter Nguyen Xuan Hung - In charge of the Department of Graphics, Dong Nai College of Decorative Arts, on behalf of the Contest’s Jury, approved the regulations, judging criteria and the number of prizes including: 04 first prizes, 08 second prizes, 12 third prizes and 20 consolation prizes for the  Primary Students (Table A) and Secondary Students (Table B).

Speaking at the Contest, the Chairman of the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association of the province (Head of the Organizing Committee) - Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet emphasized that the painting contest is a practical activity to propagate and educate the Children’s Union’s members, students of Dong Nai province about the friendship and good sentiment of the two nations and people of Vietnam and Japan; thereby encouraging them to have a connection, foster a sense of solidarity and friendship between the people of Vietnam and Japan in general and the young generations of the two countries in particular. The winners will be awarded at the 2^nd Congress of the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association of Dong Nai province, term 2021 - 2026.
