On December 12, at the Hall of Dong Nai province Union of Friendship Organizations, the Vietnam – Laos Friendship Association of the province (the Association) held its 2025 year-end review conference and deployed directions and tasks for 2026.
According to Mr. Do Dang Tuoc, Chairman of the Vietnam – Laos Friendship Association of Dong Nai province, from the beginning of 2025, the Association proactively developed specific plans and programs for implementation and fulfilled 100% of the targets and tasks set by the Provincial People's Committee. In addition, the Association soon stabilized its organization and organized many effective activities in the field of peace and friendship with Laos, and promoted propaganda among people in the province, especially the young generation of Dong Nai, about the special Vietnam–Laos friendship.

Conference overview
During the year, on the occasion of the 50th National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, the Vietnam – Laos Friendship Association of Dong Nai province successfully organized the Vietnam – Laos Friendship Exchange Program and invited Mr. Phonesy Bounmixay, Consul General of Laos in Ho Chi Minh City, to deliver a thematic talk on Vietnam – Laos relations. More than 300 delegates, including officials, members, youth union members, and over 40 Lao students studying in Dong Nai, attended the program.
In addition, the Association successfully organized the 6th Vietnam – Laos Friendship Singing Festival in 2025; and a meeting and cultural exchange program on the occasion of Laos' traditional New Year - Bupimay in Trang Dai ward. At the same time, the Association organized a delegation of officials to attend the Bunpimay Festival organized by the Provincial People's Committee at Bien Hung Park; and received a delegation from the Lao Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City on a working visit to the province.
Moreover, in 2025, the Association admitted 200 new members in branches: An Phuoc, Tam Phuoc, Tran Bien, Xuan Dong, Trang Dai, Nam Cat Tien, Phuoc Tan, Long Thanh, Long Hung, An Phuoc… It also supported branches such as An Phuoc and the Cam My Inter-branch Association in coordinating with Dong Nai University of Technology, Dong Nai University, the Wards' People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee, and Youth Union to organize exchanges and the 2025 Vietnam – Laos Cultural Day with Lao students…

Delegates speaking at the Conference
The Association's Standing Committee regularly directed units and members to set an example in daily activities, strictly comply with the Party's Directives and Resolutions and the State's Laws, actively participate in movements launched by the provincial Association, and for each official and member to cultivate healthy morals and lifestyles and fulfill well their civic duties in their place of residence. The Executive Committees of the branches grasped the family circumstances of members, coordinated with grassroots Veterans' Associations to build and develop socio-economic conditions in the locality and within each member's family; organized visits and encouragement during times of illness and hardship, and helped disadvantaged member families rise up in life.
At the Conference, delegates discussed and agreed on directions for activities in 2026. Accordingly, the Association will complete the merger project with the former Vietnam – Laos Friendship Association of Binh Phuoc province; and organize the 4th Congress. It will also organize the 2026 Vietnam – Laos Friendship Exchange Program and the 7th Vietnam – Laos Friendship Singing Festival.
