​On the morning of November 2, Ho Chi Minh City Committee for Overseas Vietnamese affairs and Dong Nai province Union of Friendship Organizations held a preliminary conference on 2 - year implementation of the coordination program on the overseas Vietnamese affairs. Co-chairing the conference were Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tri - President of Dong Nai province Union of Friendship Organizations and Ms. Vu Thi Huynh Mai, Chairwoman of the Committee for overseas Vietnamese affairs in Ho Chi Minh City.

At the preliminary conference, the leaders of the two agencies highly appreciated the achievements in recent times. Based on additional comments on upcoming activities, the leaders of the two agencies agreed to continue to promote propaganda and implementation of the Politburo's conclusions on the overseas Vietnamese affairs in the new situation through integrating the professional activities of the two agencies in various practical forms.

Along with that, they would regularly coordinate to provide and exchange information regarding the Party and the State policies on overseas Vietnamese affairs; continue to specify the contents of the coordination program with annual activities; organize seminars and conferences on overseas Vietnamese affairs in Dong Nai province and Ho Chi Minh City; act as a bridge to introduce individuals and organizations of overseas Vietnamese that have the potentials  to coordinate and contribute in the fields of economics, science - technology, education - training, and culture - society in Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai province.

Based on the agreed exchange contents, the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City Committee for overseas Vietnamese affairs and Dong Nai province Union of Friendship Organizations signed the coordination program on the implementation of overseas Vietnamese affairs for the coming period.

After two years of implementation, Ho Chi Minh City Committee for overseas Vietnamese affairs and Dong Nai province Union of Friendship Organizations have regularly, proactively provided information and shared experiences in overseas Vietnamese affairs. Since 2021, the two agencies have coordinated to organize 3 Meetings with overseas Vietnamese people in Dong Nai province, attracting nearly 500 overseas Vietnamese delegates who are businessmen, intellectuals, politicians, investors in Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai province.

At the meetings, delegates were informed by local leaders about preferential policies, potential, as well as advantages when investing in Dong Nai province. At the same time, delegates also shared with Dong Nai leaders some experiences in the fields of investment, business, education, culture and social development. In addition, the Committee for Overseas Vietnamese in Ho Chi Minh City and the Union of Friendship Organizations of Dong Nai province also organized for delegates to visit and conduct field surveys at Long Thanh International Airport project, industrial parks and agricultural production site of Dong Nai, which aims to better introduce the potential and strengths of the locality, creating new investment opportunities with the community of Vietnamese businessmen and investors in domestic localities and around the world.

The above activities have contributed to strengthening connections with overseas Vietnamese community who are businessmen, intellectuals, and investors, boosting trade promotion, and positively contributing to the development of Dong Nai province. Notably, a number of overseas Vietnamese have decided to choose Dong Nai as a destination to invest in production and business... Also with the introduction of Ho Chi Minh City Committee for overseas Vietnamese affairs, after many meetings and discussion, the Young Entrepreneur Association of Dong Nai province (DNYEA) and the Vietnam - International Entrepreneurs Networking Club (VIENC) signed a coordination program to support and promote cooperation and development between businesses and young entrepreneurs of Dong Nai province with the business community and Vietnamese businessmen abroad, to expand investment opportunities and develop markets in other countries.
