​On the morning of September 20, 2024, at Campus 3 of Lac Hong University, the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association of Dong Nai province had a working session with the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Lac Hong University for the organization of the 2024 Vietnam - Japan friendship cultural exchange festival in Dong Nai province. Attending the meeting, there were Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet - Chairman of Dong Nai province Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association, Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghi - Head of Oriental Studies Faculty of Lac Hong University.

At the working session, Chairman of the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association of Dong Nai province Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet said that the Vietnam - Japan friendship cultural exchange festival will deploy many activities such as: organizing the Vietnam - Japan friendship cultural exchange festival; Japanese speech contest; Vietnam - Japan painting contest; the first Haiku poetry composing contest. In particular, the Vietnam - Japan friendship cultural exchange festival and the Japanese speech contest will be held at Lac Hong University. 02 remaining activities of the Vietnam - Japan painting contest and the first Haiku poetry composing contest will be organized by the Association in coordination with other sectors.

Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet also shared the Vietnam - Japan friendship cultural exchange festival aims at building and strengthening the expansion of solidarity, friendship and cooperation between the people of Dong Nai province and the people of Japan;  introducing and informing people of all walks of life in the province to have more understandings about the country, people, culture and achievements in building the country of the Japanese people as well as the special traditional close relationship between Vietnamese people and Japanese people.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghi - Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Lac Hong University expressed his thanks to the leaders of Dong Nai province Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association of the province for their interest in implementing the Vietnam - Japan friendship cultural exchange festival and Japanese speech contest at school. This is a meaningful playground for students studying Japanese in Dong Nai province in general and Lac Hong University in particular. This also creates the opportunity for them to study, exchange culture, enhance friendship between the two countries and demonstrate Japanese language skills and eloquence.

As a result, at the working session, the two sides agreed on the contents and would organize the Vietnam - Japan friendship cultural exchange festival and the Japanese speech contest scheduled for November 16, 2024.
