​      On June 27, the Dong Nai province Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association (Association) held the 6th Executive Committee Meeting (term III) to evaluate the results of activities in the first 6 months, and set out tasks for the last 6 months of 2023.

In the first 6 months of the year, the Association focused on organizing and developing members. Up to now, the Association has 4 affiliated branches, 44 branches and 01 poetry club with a total of over 2,000 members throughout the province. Each member is a shining example in the residential area and a propagandist about people - to - people diplomacy and the special relationship between Vietnam and Laos.

 

Overview of the meeting

Speaking at the meeting, President of the Dong Nai province Union of Friendship Organizations Nguyen Thanh Tri highly appreciated the results of the Association's activities; At the same time, he expects that in the coming time, the Association should focus on propagating to the younger generation about the relationship between Vietnam and Laos; continue to develop and care for the spiritual life of its members.

Also at the Conference, delegates discussed and agreed on the plan to organize the 3rd Vietnam - Laos Friendship Singing Exchange Program in Long Thanh district at the end of August, 2023. The program will be an opportunity to exchange between members, Lao students studying in Dong Nai and young people of Long Thanh District Youth Union.
