On April 1, in Dong Nai, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the National Assembly Deputies Delegation of the province Vũ Hồng Văn hosted a working session with Heads of Vietnam's overseas representative missions for the 2025–2028 term, led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyễn Minh Hằng, aiming to strengthen connectivity and promote international investment attraction.
Attending the meeting were more than 20 Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and Consuls General of Vietnam abroad, along with members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, including Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lê Trường Sơn, Head of the Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization Dương Minh Dũng, Director of the Department of Finance Trương Thị Hương Bình, and leaders of provincial departments, agencies, localities and typical enterprises in Dong Nai.
At the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Vũ Hồng Văn noted that Dong Nai has one of the largest areas in Southern Vietnam and is considered a “miniature Vietnam," attracting people from across the country to live and work. The province also features diverse religious life, including a large Catholic community that has actively contributed to socio-economic development. Dong Nai continues to improve its investment climate in a transparent and favorable direction, prioritizing high-tech and semiconductor industries, promoting administrative reform, and enhancing cooperation efficiency with domestic and foreign enterprises. The province aims to maintain high economic growth in the 2026–2030 period, moving toward modern and sustainable urban development.

Deputy Minister Nguyễn Minh Hằng emphasized that the delegation was pleased to be among the first central government missions to work with Dong Nai after the 2nd Plenum of the 14th Party Central Committee issued Resolution No. 03-NQ/TW dated March 25, 2026 approving the policy to establish Dong Nai as a centrally governed city. This strategic decision affirms the province's new position and role in national development, particularly in aviation and logistics. She called on Vietnam's overseas representative missions to serve as bridges connecting partners and promoting investment cooperation with Dong Nai, while recommending the province strengthen investment and trade promotion activities and organize large-scale international events, especially in preparation for APEC 2027.

* Currently, Dong Nai has 58 industrial parks, including 43 in operation, attracting 2,246 FDI projects from 51 countries and territories with total registered capital of USD 43.41 billion. The province's transport infrastructure has been synchronously developed across all modes, notably the Cảng hàng không quốc tế Long Thành, which is expected to become a key driver for economic growth and logistics development.
Dong Nai has been approved by the central government to establish a new centrally governed city comprising 95 wards and communes. In the 2026–2030 period, the province targets double-digit growth across economic sectors, while continuing to preserve and promote cultural, historical and human values toward comprehensive and sustainable development.
