On March 24, Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations of Dong Nai province held a conference for member friendship associations for the first quarter of 2026.
Speaking at the conference, Nguyen Thanh Tri, President of Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations of Dong Nai province, emphasized key activities carried out in the first quarter. Attending the event were Tran Trung Nhan, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Inspection Commission, and President of the Vietnam–China Friendship Association of Dong Nai province, along with leaders of nine other member friendship associations under VUFO Dong Nai.

According to Nguyen Thanh Tri, during the first three months of 2026, VUFO Dong Nai organized various people-to-people diplomacy activities and events. Notably, it implemented foreign non-governmental aid projects with a total committed value of over VND 7.9 billion under Decision No. 91/QĐ-UBND dated January 12, 2026, issued by the Provincial People's Committee. This decision approved the project “Support for children in especially difficult circumstances in Dong Nai province for the 2025–2030 period," sponsored by Holt International Children's Services (HOLT, USA). VUFO Dong Nai also organized and coordinated conferences to mobilize foreign non-governmental aid in Dong Nai, expressed appreciation to international NGOs and FDI enterprises, and conducted delegations to promote and mobilize such aid.

In the second quarter of 2026, VUFO Dong Nai will focus on implementing 15 key tasks. These include continuing to monitor projects that are being prepared for implementation; reviewing and guiding units to promptly complete procedures for receiving foreign non-governmental aid; supporting the implementation of the project “Building 100 houses for disadvantaged households in the province," funded by LDSC (USA); organizing training conferences to enhance knowledge of people-to-people diplomacy and topics related to traditional friendship relations between Vietnam and other countries; and developing a list of projects to call for cooperation and mobilize foreign non-governmental aid in the province.
