On the afternoon of March 13, at the Government Headquarters, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received Ambassador of Thailand to Vietnam Urawadee Sriphiromaya, to discuss measures to promote the Vietnam–Thailand Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and cooperation in ensuring energy security.

The Prime Minister noted that 2026 marks the 50th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Both sides are coordinating to develop an Action Program to implement the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for the 2026–2030 period. He also proposed promoting bilateral trade to soon reach USD 25 billion in a more balanced and sustainable manner, while expanding cooperation in new areas such as science and technology, digital transformation, green economy, and people-to-people exchanges.
Regarding energy security, the Prime Minister suggested that Thailand facilitate stable fuel supplies for civil aviation activities in Vietnam. The Thai Ambassador expressed strong support for the proposals and affirmed her commitment to further promoting the increasingly substantive and effective development of bilateral relations between the two countries.
