The Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, Pham Thu Hang, responded to a reporter's question regarding Vietnam's reaction to the current escalation of serious tensions in the Middle East.
– (MOFA) – On March 3, 2026, in response to a reporter's question asking about Vietnam's reaction to the ongoing escalation of serious tensions in the Middle East, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam Pham Thu Hang stated:

Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, Pham Thu Hang
“Vietnam's position was clearly stated on February 28, 2026.
Vietnam opposes acts of using force to attack sovereign states, especially attacks targeting civilian infrastructure that result in civilian casualties. These actions have caused severe damage and continue to threaten the lives, safety, and interests of people, including Vietnamese citizens in the region, while disrupting economic activities and undermining peace and stability in the region and the world.
Vietnam calls on all relevant parties to act responsibly, strictly comply with international law, the Charter and relevant resolutions of the United Nations, respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states, resume negotiations, and create favorable conditions for dialogue aimed at resolving differences through peaceful means, for the benefit of the people and for peace, stability, and development in the region and the world."
