On June 24, 2026, the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations of Dong Nai city (VUFO Dong Nai) and HS Hyosung Viet Nam Co. Ltd. (HS Hyosung VN), in coordination with the Long Thanh Protection Forest Management Board and relevant authorities, successfully organized a mangrove planting program in Phuoc An commune.

Fulfilling its role as the focal and specialized agency in people-to-people diplomacy and international resource mobilization, VUFO Dong Nai has actively engaged, connected with and encouraged HS Hyosung VN Co. Ltd. to participate in corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities within the city.
Aiming to protect the ecological environment and respond to climate change, VUFO Dong Nai proactively connected the enterprise with the Long Thanh Protection Forest Management Board. Following thorough discussions and site surveys, the parties agreed to select the mangrove forest area in Phuoc An commune (managed by the Long Thanh Protection Forest Management Board) as the location for the afforestation project.
On June 24, the tree-planting program officially took place with the enthusiastic participation of delegates and numerous officials and employees of HS Hyosung VN in collaboration with the Phuoc An Forest Rangers and local authorities.

During the program, delegates and volunteers directly planted 500 mangrove trees on the mudflats. This practical activity directly contributes to restoring the coastal ecosystem, preventing soil erosion, protecting natural habitats and spreading a strong message of sustainable development.
