ACEF hands over Friendship House in Xuan Que Commune, Dong Nai Province

On November 27, 2025, in Xuan Que Commune, the Dong Nai Union of Friendship Organizations, in coordination with the Department of Ethnic and Religious Affairs, the People's Committee of Xuan Que Commune, and The Asian Cultural Exchange Foundation (ACEF/ Republic of Korea), held a handover ceremony for a friendship house for the household of Ms. Thi Mai, an ethnic Cho Ro resident of Residential Group No. 8, Ong Que Hamlet, Xuan Que Commune.

Mr. Dieu Nen, Deputy Director of the Department of Ethnic and Religious Affairs, and representatives of the donor performed the house handover ceremony.

The house is one of five friendship houses provided to disadvantaged households facing housing difficulties in Xuan Que Commune, Dong Nai Province, funded by Asian Cultural Exchange Foundation with a total budget of VND 350 million. Ms. Thi Mai's house was built with an area of approximately 70 square meters, including one living room, one bedroom, one kitchen, and one bathroom. The structure features brick walls, a corrugated iron roof, and tiled flooring, with a total construction cost of VND 100 million. Of this amount, ACEF provided VND 70 million, while the remaining funds were contributed by the family and supported by the local authorities through financial assistance and construction labor.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Dieu Nen, Deputy Director of the Department of Ethnic and Religious Affairs, expressed his sincere appreciation to ACEF and Samil Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. for their meaningful and practical support to disadvantaged households in Xuan Que Commune. The donors' companionship has made an important contribution to social welfare efforts, supporting poor and near-poor households as well as ethnic minority communities across the province.

On behalf of her family, Ms. Thi Mai emotionally conveyed her heartfelt gratitude to the authorities at all levels, local departments and agencies, and especially to Asian Cultural Exchange Foundation for enabling her family to have a new, solid, and spacious home.

The handover ceremony was held in a warm and meaningful atmosphere, reflecting the spirit of solidarity and shared responsibility in improving the living conditions of disadvantaged ethnic minority households in Xuan Que Commune.
