Launching the Capacity-Building Scholarship Project for Female Students at Dong Nai University

On the morning of December 30, 2025, the Dong Nai Union of Friendship Organizations, in coordination with Saigon Children's Charity CIO and Dong Nai University, held the launch ceremony of the project titled “Enhancing Capacity for Disadvantaged Female Students Studying at Dong Nai University for the 2025–2028 Period."

Attending the ceremony were Ms. Tran Thuy Tien, Vice President of the Dong Nai Union of Friendship Organizations; Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hung, Vice Rector of Dong Nai University; and representatives of various provincial departments and agencies. Representing the donor organization were Ms. Nguyen Thi Duy Huong, Head of Programs at Saigonchildren, along with project officers.

Through a process of connection, dialogue, and close coordination with partners, the Union of Friendship Organizations mobilized Saigon Children's Charity CIO to implement the project at Dong Nai University, thereby providing practical support to disadvantaged female students. The project aims to help these students continue their academic pursuits, enhance their personal capacities, and improve their career prospects after graduation. Accordingly, 50 female students of Dong Nai University will receive annual scholarships to support their study expenses, with a total funding value of over VND 2.3 billion. They will also participate in skills training activities, including communication, teamwork, time management, career orientation, and psychological counseling.

In her remarks at the ceremony, Ms. Tran Thuy Tien, Vice President of the Dong Nai Union of Friendship Organizations, affirmed that education and human resource development—particularly female human resources—have always been among the key priorities of Dong Nai Province. The implementation of the project not only provides immediate support for students but also contributes to building a long-term foundation for them to strengthen their capacities, enhance their adaptability to the labor market, and actively contribute to the province's socio-economic development. She also committed that the Union would continue to accompany Saigon Children's Charity CIO, Dong Nai University, and relevant agencies and units throughout the project implementation process, closely monitoring, supporting, and facilitating its effective execution in line with its objectives and intended beneficiaries.

Representatives of Dong Nai University and Saigon Children's Charity CIO also expressed confidence that the project would provide additional motivation for female students to overcome difficulties, focus on their studies, and gradually affirm their roles in society.
