Latter-day Saints Charities donates 12 TVs to Dong Nai province Orphans & Disabled Children Center worth 150 million dong

 

       On the morning of January 8, 2025, the Latter-Day Saint Charities (LDSC/USA) and the Union of Friendship Organizations of the province held a ceremony to donate 12 TVs worth nearly 150 million dong to Dong Nai province Orphans & Disabled Children Center. This is a meaningful and practical gift that brings joy to the teachers and students here during the New Year celebrations.

      At the donation ceremony, Deputy President of the Union of Friendship Organizations of the province, Tran Thuy Tien, shared that LDSC is one of the partners with a close cooperative relationship with Dong Nai province. Since 2016, LDSC has implemented many programs and projects with activities such as: supporting wheelchairs and tricycles; building clean water stations; providing medical equipment and supplies for epidemic prevention; supporting scholarships, bicycles, books, and notebooks, donating wheelchairs to the disabled in the province, and providing textbooks and bicycles for students from families affected by Agent Orange/dioxin; building clean water supply systems for ethnic minorities; providing medical examination and treatment, supporting equipment and professional training, and emergency pandemic prevention support in 2021. The donation of 12 TVs to Dong Nai province Orphans & Disabled Children Center today by LDSC is a very meaningful activity, bringing a warm and practical gift for the beginning of the year.

         Ms. Le Thi Nam Nhan, Director of Dong Nai province Orphans & Disabled Children Center, expressed her deep gratitude to the Union of Friendship Organizations and the LDSC for their concern and support for the students of the school. This is a very meaningful gift because for children with disabilities, learning tools help students grasp new knowledge more easily.

On behalf of the Union of Friendship Organizations and Dong Nai province Orphans & Disabled Children Center, Ms. Tran Thuy Tien – Vice President of the Union, expressed gratitude to the LDSC for always accompanying the Union in social welfare projects in the province, contributing to the government and the people of Dong Nai province's efforts to achieve sustainable development goals. It is hoped that in the future, LDSC will continue to closely collaborate with the Union of Friendship Organizations of the province to implement many humanitarian projects based on solidarity, friendship, and mutual development.
