In
the past year, the Vietnam - China Friendship Association of Dong Nai province (the
Association) successfully held its second congress for the 2024 - 2029 term.
This is an important political event, and throughout the year, the Association
has organized many vibrant activities to celebrate this special event.
At the beginning of the year, the Vietnam-China Friendship Association of Dong
Nai province actively built and implemented people - to - people exchange
activities between Dong Nai and China. The Association's activities received
attention from the Consulate General of China in Ho Chi Minh City, as well as
from Chinese organizations, individuals, enterprises in Dong Nai, and the
participation of a great number of members, students, and local residents.

The 2024 Vietnam - China Friendship Cultural Exchange Festival with the theme on
praising the country, people, and the cultural beauty and traditions of the two
nations and ethnic groups, the Vietnam - China friendship relations, attracted
the participation of 09 teams from the Sub-Associations and Chinese language
centers in the province. During the festival, the participating teams displayed
many outstanding and diverse performances, ranging from singing and dancing,
musical instruments, poetry recitation, speeches, skits, calligraphy, martial
arts, to ethnic costume displays. The Jury selected outstanding teams to award
08 collective prizes, 57 individual prizes, and special prizes; simultaneously,
09 representative performances were chosen for public presentation during the
exchange.

In addition to being proactive in activities, the Vietnam - China Friendship
Association of Dong Nai province has actively participated in events organized
by the Union of Friendship Organizations of the province. Notably, at the 5th
Dong Nai province Friendship Melodies Festival in 2024, the Vietnam - China
Friendship Association achieved outstanding results, specifically winning the A
prize for overall performance, along with two subsidiary awards, including: the
Impressive Friendship Program award and the Best Performance award for the Folk dance performance
"Auspicious Chopsticks”. "As a result, the Vietnam - China Friendship
Association was selected by the Union of Friendship Organizations of the
province to participate in the Friendship Melodies Festival among the Unions of
Friendship Organizations in provinces and cities of Cluster No. 04, Vietnam
Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO); contributing to bringing the First
Prize for Dong Nai province. Additionally, they were chosen by the Organizing
Committee of the Friendship Melodies Festival of Cluster No. 04, Vietnam Union
of Friendship Organizations to participate in the Cultural Exchange Program
with the Consulates General of countries in Ho Chi Minh City.

Also in the same year, the Vietnam – China Friendship Association at Lac Hong
University organized the 2024 Chinese Speech Contest. The contest created
opportunities for interaction between members (who are students) and Chinese
enterprises; it served as a source of inspiration for learning, a communication
environment, and enhanced students' ability to communicate in Chinese.
Additionally, members of the Vietnam - China Friendship Association of the
province, who are part of the Chinese community in Bien Hoa city, actively
performed the role of propagandist
for people - to - people diplomacy through exchange activities with the local
Chinese community. Members of the Association at the That Phu Co Mieu – Ong
Pagoda (in Bien Hoa city) organized two delegations to participate in the Quan
Cong Cultural Festival in Nam An (Fujian, China) and Dong Son (Fujian, China).
These activities contributed to promoting the image and cultural values of Dong
Nai, the national relic of the That Phu Co Mieu, and connecting with the people
of countries.
In general, the people - to - people exchange and cultural exchange activities
of the Vietnam - China Friendship Association of Dong Nai province are not only
emphasized at the provincial level but also carried out by various Sub-Associations
with diverse content and forms. The activities of the Association have
contributed to enhancing understanding and strengthening the friendship between
the people of the two countries.
