The 2nd Congress of Vietnam - China Friendship Association of Dong Nai province, term 2024 - 2029
 

On March 27, Viet Nam - China Friendship Association of Dong Nai province (Association) held the second Congress, term 2024-2029. Attending the Congress were Vice Chairman of Viet Nam - China Friendship Association Mr. Nguyen Van Tho; Chinese Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Mr. Wei Huaxiang; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Mr. Ho Thanh Son and comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee: Mr. Huynh Thanh Binh, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission; Mr. Tran Trung Nhan, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Commission; Mr. Cao Van Quang, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Mr. Pham Xuan Ha, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Training Commission; Mr. Nguyen Son Hung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Ms. Hoang Thi Bich Hang, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council.

Overview of the C​ongress

Speaking at the Congress, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Ho Thanh Son highly appreciated the contributions and efforts of the Viet Nam - China Friendship Association of the province in the process of building and promoting the role of bridge in conecting of peace, solidarity and friendship between the People of Dong Nai and the People of China.

In the past term, the Association's Executive Committee established 4 branches with nearly 500 members. The Association's Executive Committee has been active, creative, and organized many humanitarian charity events; connecting businesses to award scholarships worth many billions of dong to pupils and students,...

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Mr. Ho Thanh Son requested the Association's Executive Committee for the new term to continue promoting the role as a bridge in people-to-people diplomacy activities conecting the People between Dong Nai and China, continuing to implement Circular No. 01-TT/TU dated April 14, 2022 of the Provincial Party Committee and Plan No. 175/KH-UBND dated August 1, 2022 of the Provincial People's Committee implementing Directive No. 12-CT/TW dated January 5, 2022 of the Party Central Committee Secretariat (term XIII) on strengthening the Party's leadership and improving the effectiveness of people-to-people diplomacy in the new situation is the core work of the Association. Besides, the Association needs to continue to innovate and improve the quality and operational efficiency of the Association; focus on building and developing a team of officials and members, and developing branches at Chinese FDI enterprises and in localities where many Chinese people live; maintain organization of people-to-people exchange activities.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Mr. Ho Thanh Son spoke at the Congress

The Congress negotiated to elect the Executive Committee of the Provincial Viet Nam - China Friendship Association for the term 2024 - 2029 with 20 members. Mr. Tran Trung Nhan, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department was elected Chairman of the Association.

On this occasion, Viet Nam - China Friendship Association, Dong Nai People's Committee and Dong Nai Union of Friendship Organizations rewarded individuals and collectives with outstanding contributions in the work of building and developing the Association in the term 2018-2023.
