​ On August 20, the Executive Committee of the Viet Nam - China Friendship Association of Dong Nai Province (Association) (term II for the period of 2024 - 2029) held the second meeting. At the meeting, members of the Association's Executive Committee approved the following contents: the contents of the Working Regulations, assign tasks in the Executive Committee and Standing Committee; plans and tasks for the last months of 2024.

Mr. Tran Trung Nhan - Member of Dong Nai province Standing Party Committee, Head of Internal Affairs Comission of Dong Nai province Party Committee, Chairman of Dong Nai province Viet Nam - China Friendship Association chaired the meeting.

In March 2024, the Association successfully held the Congress for the second term (2024 - 2029). With a spirit of serious work, democracy and high responsibility, based on the discussion and agreement of delegates attending the Congress, the Congress voted and unanimously approved the report on summarizing the work for term I and operational  direction for term II of the Association; review report of the Association's Executive Committee and the Inspection Committee, term I. The Congress elected the Executive Committee, term II for the period from 2023 to 2028 (20/21 members), the Association's Standing Committee and the Inspection Committee, term II (03 members). Mr. Tran Trung Nhan - Member of Dong Nai province Standing Party Committee, Head of Internal Affairs Comission of Dong Nai province Party Committee was elected as Chairman of the Association.

After the Congress, the Association completed the procedures for the application for recognition of the Congress results. At the same time, the Association actively implemented activities such as: developing the Working Regulations of the Standing Committee and the Executive Committee of the Viet Nam - China Friendship Association, term II for the period of 2024 - 2029; Internal Spending Regulations of the Association (term 2024 - 2029); assigning tasks to the Standing Committee of the Association (term 2024 - 2029); proposing the establishment of Department under the Association to specify the tasks of each member of the Executive Committee; the Association Branch of Lac Hong University organized the 2024 Chinese Speaking Competition to create opportunities for exchange between members who are students of the University and Chinese enterprises, creating a source of learning inspiration, a communication environment and improving Chinese communication skills for students.

In the first 7 months of 2024, the Association's staff and members actively responded and participated in the people - to - people diplomatic activities of the province and the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations, achieving many outstanding results. In particular, participating in the 4th Dong Nai Province Friendship Melody Festival and form that, one performance selected to participate in the Friendship Melodies Festival of the Southeast Region (Cluster 4), contributing to bringing the First Prize for the whole delegation to Dong Nai province and being selected by the Organizing Committee of the Friendship Melodies Festival of the Southeast Region (Cluster 4) to participate in the Exchange Program with the Consulates General of countries in Ho Chi Minh City.

Overview of the meeting

The Executive Committee agreed on a number of key tasks to continue implementing in the last months of the year, including: Organizing the Viet Nam - China Friendship Exchange Program in 2024 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the National Day of the People's Republic of China and welcoming the 3rd Congress of the Union of Friendship Organizations of Dong Nai Province, term 2024 - 2029; organizing gift giving (rice) to people in difficult circumstances in Cam My and Trang Bom districts; developing members, promoting the establishment of branches in districts and cities; organizing art competitions between Viet Nam - China Friendship Associations Branches in the province and some Chinese Language Centers; responding to and actively participating in the special emulation movement to welcome the 3rd Congress of the Union of Friendship Organizations of Dong Nai Province, term 2024 - 2029; Coordinating with agencies and units in the province to organize receptions for delegations and Chinese people's organizations to visit and cooperate in Dong Nai province.
