​On September 1, in Long Khanh city, the Vietnam - China Friendship Association and the Union of Friendship Organizations of Dong Nai province coordinated with relevant agencies to organize the 2024 Vietnam - China Friendship Cultural Exchange Festival.

The Festival was attended by President of Dong Nai province Union of Friendship Organizations Nguyen Thanh Tri; Vice Chairwoman of Dong Nai province Vietnam - China Friendship Association Tran Thuy Tien; Vice Chairman of Long Khanh City People's Committee Tang Quoc Lap; Deputy Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Ho Chi Minh City Tu Chau; along with delegates who are members of the Executive Committee of Vietnam - China Friendship Association and Association Branches of the province; and members who are students and trainees at universities and Chinese language teaching centers in the province.

At the Festival, 09 group performed many unique and diverse performances in terms of genres from singing, dancing, playing musical instruments, reciting poems, presenting speeches, performing skits, calligraphy, martial arts, performing national costumes which aims to honor, preserve and promote the beauty of the landscapes,  cultural values and traditions of Vietnam and China as well as enhance the Vietnam - China friendship.

According to Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam - China Friendship Association of Dong Nai province Tran Thuy Tien, most of the groups had elaborate staging such as: Quang Chanh Group (Long Khanh City) with the theme of Good Land; Bao Binh Group (Cam My District) with the theme of Inheritance and Promotion; Thanh Binh Group (Trang Bom District) with the theme of Development; Thoi Lap Group (Dinh Quan District) with the theme of Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration... This is the first time that Vietnam - China Friendship Cultural Exchange Festival has been held, creating a new playground for the Association's members in the province; enriching cultural exchange activities, consolidating and developing the solidarity and friendship between the people of Dong Nai province and the people of China.

At the Festival, Deputy Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Ho Chi Minh City - Mr. Tu Chau, said that the Consulate General, Chinese enterprises and associations in Vietnam always support and wish for the fruitful development of the friendship between the two countries and peoples.

Awarding the first and second prizes to the collectives

The festival took place in 01 day. At the end of the Festival, the Jury selected the best groups to award 8 collective prizes, 57 performance prizes and subsidiary prizes; and also selected 9 outstanding performances to display in the exchange section.

Also at the Festival, the Organizing Board presented a plaque of gratitude to Chinese enterprises, business associations in Vietnam, individuals and organizations that sponsored the Festival.
