Association organized the French Speech Contest and a Vietnam - France
friendship exchange.

The Contest is part of a
series of events to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the establishment of the Dong
Nai province Union of Friendship Organizations and towards the 2nd
Congress of the Vietnam - France Friendship Association, term 2023 - 2028.
Speaking at the event,
Mr. Dang Van Toi, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam - France Friendship Association
of Dong Nai province, said that established in 2018, over the past years, the
Vietnam - France Friendship Association of Dong Nai province has always proactively
and actively promoted its bridging role in people-to-people diplomacy. Every
year, the Association regularly connects with the French Consulate General and
the Campus France in Ho Chi Minh City to organize friendship exchange
activities, celebrating International Francophonie Day, the date of the establishment
of diplomatic relations between the two countries. country and National Day of
the French Republic...

The
Association's activities not only contribute to cultivating the friendship
between the people of Dong Nai province and France, but also enhance mutual understandings
of two parties, creating a favorable environment for cooperation, development
and promotion of the movement of French learning and teaching in the locality.
Mr. Toi
said that in 2023, the two countries celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the establishment
of diplomatic relations and also the 10th Anniversary of the strategic
partnership. The Association organized a series of events such as: drawing
competition, exchanges with the France Campus in Ho Chi Minh City and overseas
education consultancy... The programs have been very successful.

Chairman of the Vietnam - France Friendship Association of the province Dang
Van Toi delivered the opening speech of the Speech Contest
"Today's contest is
even more meaningful, when we are honored to welcome students and volunteers
from the French Republic. This is also an opportunity for members, teachers,
especially students studying French who can meet and interact with the
volunteer group. By this way, mutual understanding is enhanced," the Vice
President of the Association shared.
The Vice Chairman of the
Association hopes that these memories will be kept forever; The students will
be messengers of peace, helping to spread the images of country and people of
Vietnam and Dong Nai province in France. The Vietnamese people hope that the
people of the French Republic will continue to accompany and support the
Vietnamese people in the new era, especially in the work of building,
protecting and developing the country. "We - as well as the Vietnamese
people - will constantly nurture the Vietnam - France friendship relationship
to increasingly blossom and bear fruit," Mr. Toi shared.
According to the
Organizing Committee, the Contest was launched in early July, Most of the contestants
come from schools teaching and learning French in the province. Through the
competition rounds, 15 best works entered the final round. At the final round,
with the theme "Vietnam - France relations and promoting the image of the
country and people of Vietnam and Dong Nai province", each contestant went
on stage to present his/her oratory test and answer 01 additional questions
from the Jury.

As for results: At High
school level, first prize went to student Dang Thi Mai Anh, grade 12, at Tran
Bien High School; First prize at the secondary school level went to candidate
Dang Trieu Man, grade 9, at Thong Nhat Secondary School. The awards will be
awarded on the occasion of the second Congress of the Vietnam - France
Friendship Association in the fourth quarter of 2023.

Basketball exchange
Also
at the Contest, members, teachers and students interacted with the French
volunteer group; participated in quizzes, Q&A, and introduced about the
homeland; performed arts; exchanged basketball and volleyball... The Contest
helps promote the images of the country and people of Vietnam to French
friends, contributing to the effective implementation of people - to - people
diplomacy of the province.
