​In 2024, the Vietnam - United States Friendship Association of Dong Nai province has successfully organized a series of friendship exchange events to commemorate the Vietnam - United States relations. Attending the events were Mr. Dao Van Phuoc - Member of the provincial Standing Party Committee, Head of the provincial Party Committee's Organization Commission, Chairman of the Vietnam - United States Friendship Association; representatives from EducationUSA Advising Center in Ho Chi Minh City, the U.S. Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, and leaders from departments, sectors, and organizations in the province, as well as members of three affiliated branches of the Vietnam - United States Friendship Association of Dong Nai province.

The series of events featured a variety of vibrant activities such as the “Ring the Golden Bell" to learn about the culture and diplomatic ties between Vietnam and the United States; and the cultural exchange program "Cultural Connection - Development Cooperation". At the event, Dong Nai province Vietnam - United States Friendship Association also handed over decisions on admission to new members, including leaders and managers of English language centers in Bien Hoa City. This also marks the beginning of the Association's connection with the community of English language centers in the city, aiming to establish branches and clubs in the near future. The activities attracted the participation of more than 400 officials and members of the Association.

“Ring the Golden Bell" was organized by Dong Nai province Vietnam - United States Friendship Association for the first time to convey the beautiful message of the culture of the two countries to members of three affiliated branches at Dong Nai University, Lac Hong University, and Dong Nai University of Technology. Members and students not only participated in physical games but also had the opportunity to learn, improve, and explore comprehensive knowledge about the culture, history, and society of Vietnam, the United States, and the United Kingdom. 100 contestants went through 20 questions to find the winner with the best knowledge.

At the cultural exchange program "Cultural Connection - Development Cooperation," Chairman of the Vietnam - United States Friendship Association of Dong Nai province Dao Van Phuoc, stated: “This is a cultural exchange event, an opportunity for officials and members to strengthen friendship relations and cooperation with American partners in the future through various activities in the program, especially in the fields of culture, cooperation, and sustainable development. This is also an opportunity for members to showcase their knowledge and skills and share unique cultural traits, interact with students from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Ho Chi Minh City, laying the groundwork for future cooperative potential of the Association”.Top of Form

Also within the framework of the event, three affiliated branches performed artistic programs reflecting the cultural colors of the two countries, participated in physical and intellectual games. Dr. Nguyen Tuan Khanh - Lecturer at the Faculty of International Relations, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam National University, discussed the topic of the friendship relations between Vietnam and the United States after nearly 30 years of establishing diplomatic relations, highlighting important milestones in the history of the development of friendly relations between the two nations and the achievements in socio-economic development of the country in the bilateral relationship to officials, members, and students at the event. This is also an activity to enhance external information work for the core force of officials and members in establishing and building friendly relations with American partners.

It is known that in May, 2024, Dong Nai province Vietnam - United States Friendship Association successfully organized the 2^nd "Vietnam - US Singing Contest" in 2024. These activities are to celebrate the success of the 2^nd Congress of the Vietnam - United States Friendship Association of Dong Nai province and the 3^rd Congress of Dong Nai province Union of Friendship Organizations for the 2024 - 2029 term.
