Students at 11 schools in Long Khanh City, Dong Nai will be supported with school water filtration systems
 

On May 16, 2025, the Dong Nai provincial People's Committee issued a decision on approval of a foreign non - governmental aid grant for the project "Supporting for school water filtration systems for schools in Long Khanh City, Dong Nai" which is funded by the Saigon Children’s Charity CIO (SCC) from the UK.

It is known that the aid is managed by the People's Committee of Long Khánh City, which will implement the installation of 22 school water filtration systems for 11 primary and secondary schools in the area, with a total project budget of 620,020,000 dongs. The project implementation period is valid since the Dong Nai provincial People's Committee approves the receipt of the aid until December 30, 2025. The direct beneficiaries of the project are more than 8,400 students currently studying at the following schools: Long Khanh Primary School, Xuan Trung Primary School, Phu Binh Primary School, Bao Vinh Primary School, Trung Vuong Primary School, Nguyen Trai Secondary School, Ngo Quyen Secondary School, Bao Quang Secondary School, Hang Gon Secondary School, Xuan Tan Secondary School, Xuan Lap Secondary School.

The support of water filtration systems carried out by Saigon Children’s Charity CIO will contribute to improving the operational quality of educational institutions, enhancing the quality of drinking water for students, teachers, staff, and school administrators in Long Khanh city, preventing diseases caused by the use of substandard water sources; thereby improving the health and quality of life of students and teachers; helping to reduce families' expenses on drinking water; and contributing to eliminating the habit of using plastic bottles for daily drinking water among students.

The Dong Nai provincial People's Committee assigns the Long Khanh City People's Committee the responsibility to receive, implement, and manage the aid according to Decree No. 80/2020/NĐ-CP dated July 8, 2020 issued by the Government on the management and use of non-refundable aid not related to official development assistance from foreign agencies, organizations, and individuals for Vietnam, and Decision No. 12/2023/QĐ-UBND dated March 31, 2023 issued by the provincial People's Committee on the regulation on the management and use of non - refundable aid not related to official development assistance from foreign agencies, organizations, and individuals for Vietnam in Dong Nai province.
