On December 31, at the Golden Lotus Convention and Wedding Center,
the Executive Committee of Dong Nai province Vietnam - Korea Friendship
Association (the Association) (term II, for the 2023 – 2028 period) held a
Friendship Meeting to summarize activities for 2024 and implement tasks for
2025. Attending the meeting were Mr. Huỳnh Thanh Bình - Member of the
Provincial Standing Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party
Committee's Inspection Commission, and President of the Vietnam – Korea
Friendship Association of Dong Nai province; Mr. Nguyễn Thành Trí – President
of the Union of Friendship Organizations of Dong Nai Province; Mr. Nguyễn Viết
Thắng – Deputy Director of the Department of External Relations; Mr. Lê Quang Y
- Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial Bar Association; Mr. Kim Young Hwan - Chairman of Korean Chamber of Commerce
(Kocham) in Dong Nai; Mr. Khen Neng Leong – Director of FDI,
Techcombank, and members of the Executive Committee along with representatives
of the Association's members.
Mr.
Huỳnh Thanh Bình – Member of the Provincial Standing Party Committee, Chairman
of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission, Chairman of the
Vietnam – Korea Friendship Association of the province, delivering the opening
speech at the meeting.
At the meeting, delegates were shown a report summarizing the activities of the
Association in 2024 and listened to Ms. Dương Thị Xuân Nương – Deputy Head of Dong
Nai province Industrial Zones Authority, Vice Chairwoman of the Association,
presenting the activity program for 2025 of the Association's Executive
Committee. In 2024, the Executive Committee of the Association has made efforts
and proactively implemented tasks, particularly focusing on renewing the
content and forms of activities, expanding partnerships, and aiming to connect
the Association's activities with Korean businesses and associations in Dong
Nai.
A highlight of the past year was the Association's coordination with the
Department of Education and Training, Lac Hong University, and Visang Korea Education
Group to implement a pilot project for teaching Korean in high schools in the
province. In addition, the organization and development of the Association
received attention with the establishment of Vietnam –Korea Friendship
sub-associations in two units at the Provincial Bar Association and Dong Nai
University of Technology.

Nguyen Thanh Tri, President of the Union of Friendship Organizations of Dong
Nai province, delivering a guiding speech at the meeting.
In his
remarks, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tri highly appreciated the achievement of the
Executive Committee of the Association over the past year. At the same time, he
expressed his hope that in 2025, the Association would continue to be a bridge
of friendship between the Vietnamese people and Korea in general, and between
Dong Nai Province and Korean localities and partners in particular.
Mr. Le
Bach Long – Vice Chairman of the Association, Chairman of the Young
Entrepreneurs Association of the province announced the decisions on the
establishment of the Vietnam – Korea Friendship Sub - Association.
Also at the meeting, the delegates discussed
and contributed suggestions on the tasks and work program for 2025 and agreed
to continue enhancing the effectiveness of the association's activities to
truly become an important bridge, strengthening relationships, peace,
solidarity, and cooperation for mutual development between the peoples of the
two countries in general, and Dong Nai province with localities in Korea in
particular.
