On December 26, 2024, the
Union of Friendship Organizations of Dong Nai province (DUFO) coordinated with Dong Nai Newspaper, Dong Nai Radio and Television
to hold the Preliminary
Conference to summarize 4 years of the implementation of the coordination
program on the external information propaganda affairs related to people - to -
people diplomacy; award individuals and collectives that
have made significant contributions to the province's people - to - people diplomacy in 2024; and announce
the directions and tasks for the coordination
program in
2025.
Attendees included the
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Son Hung,
representatives from various departments, leaders of friendship associations,
award-winning individuals and collectives, and winners of competitions.

According to the report, during the 2020 - 2024 period, despite facing many challenges
due to the COVID-19 pandemic and international fluctuations, people - to - people
of Dong Nai province has still achieved important results. Dong Nai province Union of Friendship Organizations and
its member associations have organized more than 120 important people - to - people
diplomacy events, celebrated the Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic
relations, the countries’ National Day and other people - to - people exchange and
cultural activities... with rich and vibrant conten.
These activities have helped agencies coordinate smoothly
in propagandizing and popularizing information. Dong Nai Radio and Television
and Dong Nai Newspaper have published nearly 1,000 news, articles, reports,
interviews, clips, and increased the duration of the Friendship Page and
Friendship Bridge Column in many different languages. ….
The conference also approved the direction and key tasks of the coordination
program for 2025. Accordingly, in 2025, the Union of Friendship Organizations
of Dong Nai province will collaborate with Dong Nai Radio and Television and
Dong Nai Newspaper to continue promoting the propaganda of people - to - people
activities, peace – solidarity - friendship and foreign non - governmental aid
work and external information events; report on the province's general external
activities, diplomatic events between Vietnam and other countries; and organize
a conference to summarize 5 years
of the implementation of the coordination program on the external information
and propaganda affairs related to people - to - people diplomacy.
Speaking at the
conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Son Hung
praised the efforts of the three units: the Union of Friendship Organizations
of Dong Nai province, Dong Nai Radio and Television, and Dong Nai Newspaper for
their creativity, flexibility, proactivity, and coordination in implementing
the province's policy on enhancing the effectiveness of external communication
and non - governmental aid work, contributing positively to the goals of socio -
economic development and foreign affairs of the province. At the same time, he
requested that in the coming time, the three units need to proactively and
strongly innovate the propaganda content and methods of external information
affairs related to enhancing exchanges and promoting the images of the country
and people of Dong Nai to the world; contributing to creating and gaining consensus and support from the people
and the international community ...
On this occasion, Dong Nai province Union of Friendship
Organizations rewarded 03 collectives and 05 individuals that made positive
contributions in implementing the coordination program. In addition, Dong Nai
province Union of Friendship Organizations presented 79 awards to individuals
and groups with high prizes at the 5th "Dong Nai Province
Friendship Melodies" Festival in 2024, the 2024 Bilingual Media Product
Design Contest on the history, culture, land and people of Dong Nai province and
the 2024 Contest on study and understandings about people - to -
people diplomacy in Dong Nai province.
