On the morning of November 29, 2024, in Nhon
Trach district, Dong Nai province Union of Friendship Organizations coordinated
with the People's Committee of Nhon Trach district to organize a closing
ceremony of the project "Enhancing access to safe, good-quality,
affordable housing for disadvantaged and vulnerable people " sponsored by
Samsung C&T and implemented by Habitat for Humanity
International, USA (Habitat), with the total aid of 2,300,000,000 VNĐ.
Attending the event, there were Ms. Tran Thuy
Tien - Vice President of Dong Nai province Union of Friendship Organizations,
Member of the Standing Committee of Dong Nai province Vietnam - Korea
Friendship Association; Mr. Luong Huu Ich - Vice Chairman of Nhon Trach
District People's Committee; Mr. Lee Dong Bo - Project Director of Samsung; Ms.
Bells Borja - National Director of Habitat for Humanity Vietnam and approximately
50 delegates of Samsung Habitat in Korea and Vietnam; representatives of
specialized divisions and offices of the district and leaders and households of
Phuoc Khanh and Vinh Thanh communes...
It is known that the project "Enhancing
access to safe, good-quality, affordable housing for disadvantaged and
vulnerable people" has been implemented in Vinh Thanh commune and Phuoc
Khanh commune since December of 2023 to November of 2024. Through the project,
6 families have been supported to build houses and 62 other cases have been
helped with funding for house repairs, support for installing clean water
systems and improving sanitation systems. In addition, the project has
supported the livelihood development for 05 disabled households and upgraded
part of the park of Phuoc Khanh commune with an investment of 110 million VNĐ
and repaired and upgraded the toilets of Nhan Thanh Kindergarten with an
investment of 110 million VNĐ; funded for waste classification management
equipment at source with an amount of 100 million VNĐ.

At the Closing Ceremony, Mr. Luong Huu Ich, Vice
Chairman of Nhon Trach District People's Committee, expressed his gratitude to
the sponsors and Dong Nai province Union of Friendship Organizations, which is
the focal point in foreign non-governmental aid mobilization and cooperation
promotion and works as the project introduction agency, connecting Nhon Trach
District People's Committee with HABITAT and Samsung C&T Company. By
sponsoring 100% of the project's implementation costs, donors have partially
supported the district budget in improving people's lives, especially the
disadvantaged and vulnerable beneficiaries directly from the project. With the
success of the Sam Sung C&T Village No. 11 project in 02 communes Vinh
Thanh and Phuoc Khanh, we look forward to continuing to receive support to
expand the project from Samsung C&T Company in other communes in the
district as well as other localities of Dong Nai province, contributing to the
sustainable development of the province.

Director of Habitat for Humanity Vietnam shared: "We are very grateful for

local authorities and people for their contributions to the project and hope

well as the people to have a better life."

On this occasion, Nhon Trach District People's
