​In October, the Union of Friendship Organizations coordinated with the Vietnam - United States Friendship Association of Dong Nai province (the Association) to successfully organize the Vietnam - United States Friendship Exchange Program. Attending the Program were Mr. Dao Van Phuoc - Member of Dong Nai provincial Standing Party Committee, Head of Dong Nai provincial Party Committee's Organizing Commission, Chairman of Dong Nai province Vietnam - US Friendship Association, representatives of the EducationUSA Advising Center in Ho Chi Minh City and more than 300 delegates representing leaders of provincial departments, branches, unions, and members of the Vietnam - United States Friendship Association at 03 affiliated branches.

Speaking at the opening of the Program, Chairman of the Vietnam - United States Friendship Association Dao Van Phuoc said that the Program with the theme "Cultural Connection boosts development cooperation" is a cultural exchange event and also an opportunity for officers and members of the Association to strengthen the development of friendly and cooperative relationships with the Association's US partners in the coming time through many connection activities at the Program, especially in the field of culture, cooperation and sustainable development. This is also an opportunity for members to show and share their unique cultural beauties, welcome exchanges with students from Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and create a premise to carry out the plans for the Association's cooperation potential in the coming time.

On this occasion, the Vietnam - United States Friendship Association awarded a Decision to recognize members and introduce new members - members of the Association, who are leaders and managers of a number of large English centers in Bien Hoa city area. This is also the beginning of the Association's connection with the community of English language centers in Bien Hoa city to participate in the Association's organization towards the establishment of the affiliated branches and clubs in the near future.

At the Program, Dr. Nguyen Tuan Khanh - Lecturer of the Department of International Relations, University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City discussed the topic of friendship between Vietnam and the United States after nearly 30 years of the establishment of foreign relations; reviewed important milestones in the history of friendship relations development between the two countries and the country's socio - economic development achievements in bilateral relations to officials, members and students of universities at the Program. This is an activity to strengthen the Association's people-to-people external information work to the core force of officers and members of the Association in establishing and building friendly relationships with US partners.

Also within the framework of the Exchange Program, the associations performed cultural performances of the two countries, participated in physical and intellectual games and exchanged with students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City.

The program is part of a series of events to congratulate on the 2nd Congress of the Association, which has just taken place successfully in April 2024, aiming to celebrate the 3rd Congress of the Union of Friendship Organizations of Dong Nai province, for the 2024 - 2029 term.
