In Dinh Quan district only, DUFO has coordinated to deploy 02 foreign non – governmental projects with the amount of 600 million dongs (Construction of 07 houses of friendship for ethnic minority families with housing difficulties in 2023 and Construction of 03 house of friendship for ethnic minorities in difficult circumstances in 2022) and before this period, many house construction projects were also implemented ... In addition, he clearly stated the prior orientation for foreign non – governmental aid mobilization and cooperation promotion of Dong Nai province in the period 2019 - 2025 and guided the implementation of reviewing local needs.

Mr. Tran Nam Bien - Chairman of Dinh Quan District People's Committee said that foreign non-governmental affairs is one of the tasks that the District Party Committee and People's Committee pay attention to and prioritize in leading and directing implementation. Dinh Quan district identifies non-governmental aid as one of the important resources for local socio-economic construction and development. Currently, the district has a great need for cooperation and mobilization of foreign non - governmental aid to contribute to achieving sustainable development goals.

However, due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and changes in the global situation, many NGOs have narrowed their fields and areas of operation, affecting the mobilization and attraction of aid for Dinh district. After the working session, the leaders of the District People's Committee requested that the district's offices, divisions and branches continue to study the regulations and directions of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee, and guiding documents to better understand foreign non – governmental affairs; simultaneously, continue reviewing aid needs to register in the 2024 aid mobilization list of Dong Nai province. The District People's Committee assigned the Division of Internal Affairs to act as the focal agency to advise leaders in people - to - people diplomacy; Besides, he also proposed that the Union of Friendship Organizations organize a training course on writing skills in foreign non - governmental aid mobilization projects in order to take advantage of foreign resources for local social security affairs.

Speaking at the conclusion of the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tri - Chairman of Dong Nai province Union of Friendship Organizations requested the district to continue to research, thoroughly grasp and implement the guiding documents of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee on people - to - people diplomacy. It is recommended that agencies continue to deploy, review and register projects and send them to the foreign non – governmental affairs division under Dong Nai province Union of Friendship Organizations before October 15, 2023. After that, they will be synthesized and submitted to the Provincial People's Committee to issue a list of projects on foreign non – governmental aid mobilization and cooperation promotion of the province.
