On the morning of March 16, 2024, at Gia Canh
commune, Dinh Quan district, the Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs and
People's Committee of Dinh Quan district held a Ceremony to hand over 02
friendship houses to ethnic minority households in difficult circumstances,
sponsored by Les Enfant Du Dragon (LEDD-France), with an amount of 140,000,000 dongs.

It is
known that these two friendship houses are one of 43 houses that LEDD has
coordinated with Dong Nai province Union of Friendship Organizations to deploy
in recent times. In addition, LEDD also carries out many humanitarian and
social aid programs and projects in Dong Nai province such as: building 04 wells,
03 water purification plants, donating 20 water tanks, repairing medical
stations …. More than 50 new bicycles, hundreds of scholarships and new clothes
have been donated to poor and difficult students in the province. The total
value of aid over the past 10 years is estimated at more than 10 billion dongs.
Speaking at
the Handover Ceremony, Deputy Head of Dong Nai province Committee for Ethnic
Minority Affairs - Mr. Tho Ut expressed his thanks to LEDD for continuing to support
the construction of 02 houses for ethnic minorities in Gia Canh commune. The
support of LEDD has contributed to improving the living standard of people,
helping them have a warm home and a stable, settled life.

On behalf of
the LEDD, Mr. Richard Jean-Jacques shared that he was very happy to contribute
his effort to support local people in difficult circumstances. At the same
time, he would like to thank local authorities at all levels, especially Dong
Nai province Union of Friendship Organizations for their companion, interest
and fully support for the success of these projects. He expected to have more
exchange and voluntary activities during the coming projects this year.
On this
occasion, Mr. Richard Jean-Jacques - Representative of LEDD came to survey 10
ethnic minority households with difficult circumstances in Dinh Quan and Tan
Phu districts to prepare for implementing the project "Supporting 10 disadvantaged
ethnic minority households in the period 2024 - 2026", with a total
funding of 700,000,000 dongs.
