​On July 20, the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association Inter-Branch of Long Thanh district held its 4th Congress (term 2023 - 2025). Attending were Mr. Do Dang Tuoc, Chairman of the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association of the province, Mr. Nguyen Huu Thanh, Member of the District Standing Party Committee - Vice Chairman of Long Thanh District People's Committee, and more than 100 delegates who are members of the associations.

Overview of the Congress

In recent years, the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association Inter-Branch in Long Thanh district has strengthened ideological education for members and the younger generation about the Party's foreign policies, and about solidarity and special friendship relations and comprehensive cooperation between the two peoples of Vietnam and Laos; at the same time, organized exchanges, visits, and encouragement for Lao international students studying in Dong Nai.

In addition, the Association Inter-branch also takes care of the work of building the association. So far, the Association Inter-branch has 305 members with 7 Association branches in communes and towns; regularly organizes visits to encourage each other in times of difficulty and tribulation, supports members to rise up in life. In particular, during the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Association Inter-branch mobilized and shared gifts for members, with a total value of over 800 million VNĐ.

At the Congress, delegates and members evaluated the results, limited activities of the past term, and proposed directions and tasks for the coming time. Accordingly, during the term 2023 - 2025, the Association Inter-branch will actively propagate to all classes of people in the district, especially the young generation, to be fully and deeply aware of the meaning and importance of preserving, consolidating and developing the Vietnam - Laos friendship relationship in the new situation; take care of the material and spiritual lives of members and build solidarity and friendship with Lao students studying in Dong Nai.

This Congress strengthened the Executive Committee. Mr. Dinh Phan Anh was elected as the President of the Association Inter-branch. The Standing Committee of the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association of the province also awarded Certificates of Merit to 04 groups and 21 individuals with outstanding achievements in association building work.
