On the morning of September 16, 2023, Dong Nai province Union of Friendship Organizations coordinated
with Dong Nai province Vietnam – United States of
America Friendship Association to organize the Vietnam - America Singing
Contest 2023. At the Contest, there was the attendance of Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tri
- Chairman of Dong Nai province Union of Friendship Organizations and approximately
400 members from 03 Association Branches under the Dong Nai province Vietnam –
United States of America Friendship Association.

The Vietnam - America Singing Contest 2023 is part of
a series of activities to celebrate the 2nd Congress of Dong Nai province
Vietnam – United States of America Friendship Association (the Association),
term 2023 - 2028 and the 10th Anniversary of the establishment of Dong Nai
province Union of Friendship Organizations. This is a cultural and artistic
exchange activity for members of the Association Branches under Dong Nai province Vietnam – United States of America
Friendship Association, to honor and spread the values of peace,
friendship, and create a playground for the Association Branches and strengthen
cultural diplomacy activities, contributing to increasing understandings and
consolidating solidarity and friendship between the people of Vietnam in
general, the people of Dong Nai province in particular, with the people of the
United States and international friends. This year's Contest attracted the
participation of 13 unique musical performances with about 200 amateur artists.
The Jury and the Secretary of the
Contest
According to the Organizing Committee, to be fair and
objective, the Association invited cultural experts and musicians with good
expertise, reputation, experiences and understandings of cultural and artistic
movements to join the Jury of the Contest. Dr. Nguyen Van Quyet, former Deputy
Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, is Head of the Jury.

After the end of the
Contest, the Jury and Organizing Committee will meet to evaluate and select the
03 most outstanding performances of the Contest to represent the Dong Nai
province Vietnam – United States of America Friendship Association to compete
in the 4th Dong Nai province Friendship Melodies Festival in 2023 on
October 14, 2023. If winning the award, the Association will join the friendship
associations to participate in the Friendship Melodies Festival among the
Unions of Friendship Organizations of cities and provinces in the Southeast and
neighboring regions of the Emulation Cluster No. 4. including: Ho Chi Minh
City, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Tay Ninh, Tien Giang, Long An,
Ben Tre provinces, which will be held in
Tay Ninh in November, 2023.
The results of the
"Vietnamese - American Singing" Contest will be awarded at the
Symposium on "The role of people-to-people diplomacy in the comprehensive
strategic partnership between Vietnam and the United States" on the
morning of the September 21, 2023.
