On March 20,
Dong Nai province Union of Friendship Organizations coordinated with the
People's Committee of Long Thanh District to organize the Handover Ceremony of
the construction of LS Dream School Project No. 18 with 05 classrooms to Tap
Phuoc Primary School, Hamlet 5, Long Phuoc Commune, Long
Thanh district, Dong Nai province.

Attending the ceremony
were Ms. Bui Thi Lieu - Standing Vice President of Dong Nai province Union of
Friendship Organizations, Mr. Le Hoang Son - Vice Chairman of the People's
Committee of Long Thanh District, Mr. Nguyen Viet Thang - Deputy Director of
the Department of External Relations, Mr. Kim Jae Chul – Chief Representative
of Cooperation And Participation In Overseas Ngos (COPION) in Vietnam;
representatives of leaders and officials of the district's divisions and
agencies, the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations, the COPION
organization, teachers and pupils of the school.
The branch of Tap
Phuoc Primary School in Hamlet 5, Long Phuoc commune, comprises 03 old classrooms built in 1995.
These has been seriously degraded and cannot meet the needs of eduation and
training. When they are sponsored by COPION, Long Thanh District People's
Committee decides to invest more to rebuild this branch and develop into 05
classrooms. The total cost for the project is more than 4.3 billion VND (1.5
billion VND is sponsored by COPION, the rest is granted by the local
counterpart capital).
After the construction of the block
of 05 classrooms is completed, it is fully equipped with teaching and learning
facilities, spacious environment in accordance with the prescribed standards,
creating favorable opportunities for children to continue schooling and
experience the joy and happiness every day at school.
At the Handover Ceremony, COPION
donated 10 scholarships
to disadvantaged pupils of the
school (each is worth 1 million VND/ 01 pupil).

Kim Jae Chul - Chief Representative of COPION in Vietnam awarded scholarships
to the children.
On
this occasion, the District People's Committee presented the Certificate of
Merit to COPION.
