At the working session, VVOB introduced an overview of its operational model, its missions and visions, its motto ‘Education for Development’, its overall objectives; and at the same time, the organization also learned about the needs and reality of primary and preschool education in the province.

The representative of the Department of Education and Training, Ms. Truong Thi Thuy Ngan - in charge of the Kindergarten affairs, said that the province has 374 preschools (219 public schools, 155 private schools and 788 independent preschools with scale up from 7 to 70 children). The province has a rapidly increasing mechanical population while the conditions of teachers, facilities and teaching equipment of non - public preschool educational institutions have not met the prescribed standards. The shortage of teachers greatly affects the quality of child care and educational activities. Recently, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province has paid great attention to education and training in general and preschool education in particular, such as: Improving the quality of preschool teachers, mechanisms to attract teachers, investment in facilities… Dong Nai province has had practical policies to support non - public preschool teachers, supported groups of children with 30% of workers' children in industrial parks… Department of Education and Training has been implementing many solutions to improve the quality of preschool education in the province, including a plan to raise the standards for non-public preschool teachers who have not yet met the criteria in the successive method until 2025. The program and content that VVOB introduced, meet the need to improve the quality of preschool education in Dong Nai province.

“The Flemish Association for Development Cooperation and Technical Assistance (VVOB) was founded in 1982 as a non-profit organization. Its overall objective is to contribute to poverty reduction and to a fairer world with increased opportunities for all. The organization’s main aim is to sustainably improve the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of education and training in developing countries. VVOB  started operating in Vietnam in 1992 and was granted a license to set up a project office in Vietnam by the Department of Foreign Affairs under Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Currently, the organization would like to expand its area in Dong Nai and exchange opportunities for cooperation with the educational sector of Dong Nai with the goal of improving the quality of preschool education."
