​On the morning of July 12, 2022, at the headquarters of the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations, the Vietnam - ASEAN Friendship Association of the province held the 3rd Meeting of the  Executive Committee, term 2021 - 2026.

At the meeting, the members of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam - ASEAN Friendship Association assessed the operational results in the first 6 months of the year and set out the operational direction for the last 6 months of 2022 of the Association.

In the first 6 months of the year, in addition to personnel organization affairs, the Vietnam – ASEAN Friendship Association in collaboration with the Union of Friendship Organizations and the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Ho Chi Minh City successfully organized the Vietnam – Indonesia Cultural Exchange Event and an introduction to Batik - the Indonesia’s traditional method of drawing pattern on cloth using wax, which was enlisted by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity in 2009. The event has brought many new and unique experiences, as well as enhanced understanding among the people of Dong Nai and the country and people of Indonesia; at the same time, strengthened the cultural exchange relationship between Indonesia and Vietnam in general, between the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Ho Chi Minh City and the government of Dong Nai province in particular.

In the coming time, the Vietnam - ASEAN Friendship Association of the province will continue to strengthen the personnel organization affairs and implement the activities of the Association, specifically: organizing writing contests, image exhibitions about ASEAN countries; organizing delegations to visit and establish relationships with the Consulate General of ASEAN countries in Ho Chi Minh City (Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore...); established 02 Association branches at Lac Hong University and Dong Nai University; celebrating the ASEAN’s Anniversaries and cultural exchange events among Vietnam and ASEAN…. It is expected that the celebration for the ASEAN’s Anniversaries and Vietnam – ASEAN cultural exchange event will be held at the end of August in 2022 to celebrate the 65th Anniversary of Malaysia's National Day (1957 - 2022), the 55th Anniversary of the establishment of ASEAN (1967 - 2022) and the 27th Anniversary of Vietnam's accession to ASEAN (1995 - 2022).
