​On the morning of July 6, the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations in collaboration with the Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee held a Conference on updating the current situation in the world and region. Comrade Nguyen Phuong Nga, General Secretary, President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations chaired the Conference.

Conference updates the world and regional news; the situation of the Covid-19 pandemic with its compacts on the socio – economic development; situation in the East Sea, conflicts in some countries; causes and situation of the war between Russia and Ukraine, its the impacts and consequences; regional and world developments and forecasts; impacts on the foreign affairs of our State, and Vietnam's views and foreign policy in international foreign relations today; Directive No. 12-CT/TW dated January 5, 2022 of the Secretariat on strengthening the leadership of the Party and improving the effectiveness of people – to – people diplomacy in the new situation; Directive No. 38-CT/TW dated September 19, 2019 of the Secretariat on continuing to innovate, promote and improve the performance quality of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations in the new situation.

On the basis of the international and domestic context, President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations Nguyen Phuong Nga analyzed the impacts on the foreign affairs of our State in recent years as well as the policies of the Party in international relations today; at the same time, stated Vietnam's consistent stance on settling international disputes by peaceful means on the basis of respect for international law and the United Nations Charter.

The latest news and important information were deployed at the Conference, helping to create a high consensus on awareness, ideology and will among key officials, staff in charge of propaganda affairs, leaders of the provincial and district agencies in the implementation of the duties; thereby, raising major orientations for Party committees and grassroots organizations to well implement the affairs of propaganda, political and ideological education for cadres, party members and employees at agencies in the coming time.
