​On January 21 of 2022, at Tap Phuoc Primary School located in Long Thanh District, the Union of Friendship Organizations in collaboration with the People's Committee of Long Thanh District held the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the project "LS Dream School No. 18, construction of 05 school rooms" at Tap Phuoc Primary School, which is located in Hamlet 5, Long Phuoc Commune, Long Thanh District. This project is sponsored by Cooperation and Participation In Overseas NGOs (COPION) and LS/Korea Group with the budget of 1.5 billion VND and the local counterpart's capital of more than 2 ,8 billion dong.

The Groundbreaking Ceremony of the project "LS Dream School No. 18, construction of 05 school rooms" at Tap Phuoc Primary School, which is located in Hamlet 5, Long Phuoc Commune, Long Thanh District.

This is the 5th project that COPION and the Korean LS Group have deployed in Dong Nai province. The implementation of the projects help upgrade facilities and improve the quality of education for some primary schools in Dong Nai province, and at the same time further strengthen solidarity, friendship and cooperation between the people of Vietnam and Korea.

 

The scholarships are awarded to poor students of Nguyen Trung Truc Primary School, with a total amount of 20 million VND.

Speaking at the ceremony, Standing Vice President of the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations - Ms. Bui Thi Lieu said that the year 2021 was a challenging and difficult one due to the influence of the Covid-19 pandemic. However, based on the good relationship with Dong Nai province, COPION and LS/Korea Group have always been interested in and accompanied Dong Nai in improving the quality of schools' facilities. With these projects, the students could have more spacious classrooms and the opportunities to exchange cultures with those from other countries.

Mr. Nguyen Van Toan - Head of Education and Training Division under Long Thanh district People’s Committee, on behalf of district leaders, expressed his gratitude to the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations and donors for their concern on people of Long Thanh district, especially the children. Students and teachers will  develop their tasks in spacious, well - equipped classrooms. At the same time, he committed to implement the construction as well as the project in accordance with the agreement signed with the sponsor.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province and the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations awarded 20 scholarships to poor students of Nguyen Trung Truc Primary School, with a total amount of 20 million VND.
