Training course on writing skills for foreign non-governmental aid mobilization in 2021

On November 25 and 26, the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations in collaboration with the People's Committees of Thong Nhat, Trang Bom and Cam My districts organized a training course on project writing skills for foreign non-governmental (FNG) aid mobilization for nearly 150 officials, civil servants, staff of departments, divisions, wards and communes and managers and teachers of schools in the districts.

Attending the training course were Ms. Tran Thi Thu Thuy - Member of the Presidium, Chief of the Southern Representative Office, the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, and also a reporter in the program; Ms. Bui Thi Lieu - Vice President of the Dong Nai Union of Friendship Associations (the Friendship Union) and the Foreign Non – governmental affairs Division under the Friendship Union.

Speaking at the opening session of the training course, Ms. Bui Thi Lieu - Vice President of Dong Nai Union of Friendship Organizations emphasized that over the years, FNG aid has helped improve the quality and stabilize the lives of a number of people, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province. The organization of a training course on project writing skills for foreign non-governmental (FNG) aid mobilization helps officers and local civil servants to better understand the steps of project writing, closely following the local actual needs.

At the training course, Ms. Tran Thi Thu Thuy - Chief of the Southern Representative Office, Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations discussed key issues in choosing specific needs to develop project goals, drawing the attraction of the sponsors to the project. Raising awareness about people to people diplomacy, especially in the field of FNG aid mobilization for officials at districts, wards, communes and school levels has practical significance in order to enhance initiative and cooperation to well implement the solutions proposed by the Provincial People's Committee for better lives of the local people.

Also at the training course, the foreign non – governmental affairs division of the Friendship Union presented the order and procedures for the project implementation and application for the Provincial People's Committee’s approval; issues to be noted in the advocacy, reception and implementation of FNG projects.

After the course was finished, the participants were aware of the importance of FNG aid mobilization for improving the lives of local people with difficult circumstances.
