Leaders of Thong Nhat district presenting letters of thanks to the sponsors

Ms. Nguyen Thi Yen, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thong Nhat district, sent her deep thanks to the sponsors. She said: “So far, the source of infection of the Covid-19 pandemic has been basically controlled. However, the pandemic has been still affecting socio-economic activities, even the lives of more than 165,000 people in the district, especially ethnic households. Today's program, in addition to material gifts, also has great spiritual significance for the medical staff and people in Thong Nhat district with the belief that we will soon control the pandemic and soon come back to a new normal situation.”

Dr. Nguyen Trung Tin, Director of Health Center of Thong Nhat District, Dong Nai province shared that since the end of June 2021, the district has detected 1,615 cases of F0, including 961 cases of completed treatment, 654 cases which are being monitored and treated, 15 cases of severe illness and death. Currently, the pandemic situation in the district is getting more complicated, with the source of infection in locality, and now also other sources of infection from other localities, people coming from pandemic areas related to businesses, industrial parks, etc… that all are the causes for secondary outbreaks in the district. "Currently, the general hospital in the area has changed their functions to Covid-19 treatment, so the health care and treatment of common diseases for people face many difficulties," said Doctor Tin.
