​             On March 11, at the headquarters of the Union of Friendship Organizations of Dong Nai province (DUFO), the Vietnam - US Friendship Association of Dong Nai province held a meeting to evaluate the Association's operational results in the first quarter of 2021 and deploy the direction, activities in the coming time. Attending the meeting were Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tri – Chairman of DUFO, Ms. Bui Thi Lieu - Vice Chairwoman of DUFO, Mr. Nguyen Duy Anh Tuan - Chairman of the Vietnam - US Friendship Association of Dong Nai province and Vice Chairmen of the Association.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Duy Anh Tuan - Chairman of the Vietnam - US Friendship Association approved the report on the results of the first quarter of 2021 of the Association. In the first 3 months of the year, due to the impact of the Covid pandemic, most of the Association's operational plans haven’t been implemented yet. It is expected that since the second quarter of 2021, with the agreement of the Executive Committee members, the Association will continue to perform the key tasks, specifically: organizing a working delegation to exchange and learn experiences at the Vietnam - US Friendship Association of Ho Chi Minh City; setting up a meeting of some representatives of US businesses in the province to promote the role of a bridge between businesses and the government, creating favorable conditions and support for investors to implement plans and business projects in Dong Nai province; discussing the plan to establish the American Business Club in Dong Nai; planning to organize American Film Week on the occasion of the Independence Day of the United States of America on July 4; developing a plan to mobilize, visit and present gifts to 10 households of Agent Orange/dioxin victims in Dong Nai province on  the Vietnam Agent Orange Disaster Day on August 10; designing the Logo of the Vietnam - USA Friendship Association and publish membership cards for members of the Association…

Speaking at the closing of the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tri - Chairman of the Dong Nai Union of Friendship Organizations highly appreciated the participation and the responsible contributions of the members at the meeting on discussing the contents and methods of the organization of its activities in 2021. He emphasized that the Vietnam - USA Friendship Association is one of the strong Friendship Associations of the Friendship Union, with great potential for activities. He suggested that the Association should be more active to promote and exploit the existing potentials and advantages to implement the Association's activities more effectively; actively support the establishment of affiliated Friendship Association branches, and at the same time, suggested that the Association soon take the initiative in carrying out the tasks in 2021.
