​On the morning of October 1, the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations had a working session with the Standing Board of the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association to review the contents of preparing for the 2^nd Congress of the Association, scheduled to take place in November, 2021 on the celebration of the 104^th Anniversary of the Russian October Revolution.

At the working session, there was the attendance of Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tri - Chairman of the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations, Mr. Tran Dang Ninh - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association and members of the Standing Committee, leaders of Boards and Divisions of the Union.

At the meeting, Mr. Tran Dang Ninh - Vice Chairman of the Association reported on the preparation of the Congress that many key contents have been implemented such as completing the draft of the summary report on professional tasks and duties of term I, orientation and tasks for term II; developing a personnel project for the Executive Board, the Standing Board of the 2^nd term.

Appreciating the preparation work of the Association, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tri - President of Dong Nai Union of Friendship Organizations also discussed and suggested many solutions for the Congress to take place thoughtfully and with high efficiency in propaganda as well as ensuring the prevention and control of Covid-19 pandemic in the new situation. At the same time, he directed the Union's boards and divisions to actively coordinate and support the Association in the preparation of the Congress.

The Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association was established in April 2016, according to the Decision of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province, showing the aspirations of Dong Nai people who have studied and worked and have deep impressions as well as sentiments about Russia. During the first term, the Association actively organized many people-to-people exchange activities, established relationships with the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Ho Chi Minh City and businesses in Dong Nai that have relations with the Russian Federation partners. Annually, the Association also coordinates with the Union of Friendship Organizations of the province and related agencies to organize activities to celebrate historical events, traditional holidays of the two countries...  to promote the friendly relationship between the people of the province and the those of the Russian Federation, demonstrating the importance and practical significance in consolidating and developing this good relationship into depth. Currently, the Association has 107 members and 02 affiliated branches.
