​On the morning of May 12, the Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association of the province organized a delegation to the Consulate General of Thailand in Ho Chi Minh City to offer 15,000 medical masks, which were donated by its officials and members.

Receiving the delegation was Mr. Apirat Sugondhirom - Consul General of Thailand in Ho Chi Minh City and members of the Consulate General.

Mr. Apirat Sugondhirom - Consul General of Thailand in Ho Chi Minh City received the masks from Mr. Nguyen Van Thang - Chairman of the Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association of the province.

On this occasion, Mr. Nguyen Van Thang - Chairman of the Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association of the province said that in order to share a part of the difficulties as well as promptly support the Thai people in the current situation of the increasingly complicated Covid-19 pandemic, the Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association of the province has mobilized officials and members throughout the province to support and donate 15,000 medical masks to Thai people through the Consulate General of Thailand in Ho Chi Minh City. And he hoped that the Government and people of Thailand will soon successfully control the pandemic, gradually stabilize and develop the country.

The Consul General of Thailand in Ho Chi Minh City presented his sincere thanks to the deep sentiments that officials and members of the Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association of Dong Nai province have given the Thai people. He said this was a very timely concern and support, a great source of spiritual encouragement, further tightening the friendship relationship between the peoples of the two countries as well as of the Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association of Dong Nai Province and Consulate General of Thailand in Ho Chi Minh City. The Consul General said that he would transfer the donated masks to Thai people as soon as possible. He also highly appreciated Vietnam's achievements in the Covid – 19 pandemic control and prevention affairs in recent times, and expressed his belief that the Government and people of Vietnam as well as Thailand would quickly repel the pandemic when the Covid – 19 vaccines become available and are widely deployed to the people of the two countries.
