Deeply-cultivated Vietnam – Cambodia Friendship
On 5/01 , Dong Nai Union of Friendship Organizations (the Union) and the Provincial Vietnam – Cambodia Friendship Association (the Association) organized a meeting to celebrate the 39th Anniversary of Southwest Border War Victory’s Day as well as the day when the Pol Pot genocide regime was subverted by Cambodia’s military and people (07/01/1979 – 07/01/2018).

Former experts, war invalids, martyrs’ relatives and a great deal of the Unions’ members, representatives of the local universities’ students and Cambodian students studying in Dong Nai attended the event.

Making his speech at the meeting, Mr. Tran Thanh Hung, Chairman of the Association confirmed the long-lasting solidarity between the two peoples, Vietnam and Cambodia is invaluable common assets which have been cultivated by a number of generations with lots of blood and tears. Now, the friendship between the two peoples continues to be strongly developed and nothing can stop its development.

The Chairman expected young generations would foster the traditional solidarity and friendship between the two peoples as well as take good care of war invalids, martyrs’ families who made their great contributions to the long-lasting solidarity between the two peoples.

At the meeting, the Association announced the Decision to establish Dong Nai Former Experts’ Vietnam – Cambodia Friendship Association and expressed its gratitude to war invalids, martyrs’ families who used to do the international tasks on the Cambodian battlefield.
