​On the morning of November 4th 2018, at Tran Bien Temple of Literature, the Dong Nai Province Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association hold a meeting for the 101st anniversary of the Russian Revolution to propagate the historical significance of the great event, strengthen the traditional friendship and strategic partnership between Vietnam and Russia for the members of the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association.

Attending the meeting, there were Mr Pham Thu, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association; Ms. Bui Ngoc Thanh –Chairwoman of DUFO; Mr. Dang Manh Trung, Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Propaganda and Training Department of Vietnam Communist Party in Ho Chi Minh city, Chairman of the Dong Nai Province Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association and nearly 50 members of the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association.

At the meeting, Mr. Dang Manh Trung, Chairman of the Dong Nai Province Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association, reviewed all great achievements of the Russian Revolution for labours all over the world and the friendship relations between Vietnam and the Soviet Union.  This relationship strengthened during the war and in building of the fatherland of the Vietnamese. Historical proof of the friendly relationship between Dong Nai and Russia is the Tri An Hydropower plant (in Vinh Cuu district) built with the financial and technology support of the Soviet Union since 1984; In 1991, it officially came into operation. The establishment of the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association in Dong Nai Province created a new development in the friendly relationship between the people of Dong Nai province and the people of the Russian Federation, the importance and practical significance of strengthening and developing good relations between the two countries in depth. 

Ms. Bui Ngoc Thanh – Chairwoman of DUFO highly appreciated the results that the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association has achieved for 02 years and trusted that the Executive Committee and its members of the Association will promote their responsibilities, enthusiasm to bring the Association’s activities growing in depth in the coming time. On behalf of the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association, Mr. Pham Thu - Vice Chairman of the Association showed to their members all activities in the future.
